As much as we seem to enjoy Manly's implosion over all this there are umpteen things happening here that comes down to the Work Health & Safety guidelines.
Bullying, he has been subject to unwanted harassment in the guise of pranks, the fact that the coach has demoted him is in contravention of THE NRL's policy that should negate this, being pin pointed as the person responsible for the disharmony etc etc.
I would suggest he engages a law type person who specialises in Litigation.
Good post. Could really be serious now with legal action by the wider Hastings' family.

But it only gets worse with six players to be fined for attendance at a stripclub in Gladstone (Stripclub 6). Oh dear, the consequences of explaining this .............. DCE is not going to be very popular with his team mates.
Legal action for what?

There is a Nine Sports article about it. I think his mother's family own a prominent business in Wollongong.

If I was to hazard a guess, defamation.

Not sure how his family have been defamed...I doubt Jackson Hastings himself would get much joy out of a defamation action either. He might be able to make a complaint under the Fair Work Act but at the end of the day if Manly don't want to pick him for first grade he's not going to get picked.

The family of Hastings are now considering legal action to clear Hastings' name.

In view as a whole it would be hilarious if hastings came out on top with his rumored track record.

One of the guys at work who is really thick with the players at Manly told me that it all started with DCE grabbing and tickling Hasting on the top back of his leg.
To which Hastings swang around and abused him, and accusing DCE of unwanted sexy harassment.
The altercation in the motel room was when DCE tried to smooth things over and Hasting landed one on DCE chin, and copped one back.
This guy goes to every game flew to England with the Stewarts for the WC challenge, so he is in the know.
"Unwanted sexy harassment" :o

The final word on the Manly DCE / Hastings fiasco

We gave you blokes south of the border 72 years to bring those Manly scum down

A couple of Gladstone strippers did it in less than two days

Nice :roll

Did anyone confirm, were they male strippers? I'm wondering what's so weird about Hastings and why DCE wants to give him sexy touches at training, and why Hastings would try to put one on the chin for a love tap. All sounds a bit weird to me, a bit too personal.

TV reception isn't great maybe? What else could DCE do with his time if not fondle Hastings.

Manly have made a big hole for themselves by saying that Hastings won't be playing first grade again. The more that comes out about all this the more he looks like the scape goat and the entire club culture looks terrible. They have some many problems going on at the moment on and off the field I can see them really struggling for years as what quality players will want to go to a club that is falling apart. Such a shame for them.

Weren’t the Chippendales in town that weekend? I’m sure Happy said he was going to check them out rather than going to the game 😬.

Yeah I’ve always thought that DCE might bat for the other team. Could be wrong, it’s just a feeling, but whatever has gone down is quite strange and everyone is just refusing to spell it out! Too much cloak & dagger going on for it to just be a scuffle, imo.

No. Happy is a Chippendale. He's got a good rig, can dance and likes oil.

Sick of oil , Can't dance bar doing a pretty good James Brown shuffle (my moonwalk looks like a baboon walk ) and I'm about 90 months pregnant

Apart from that I'm a spitting image of Mel Gibson (now ) :D

I would suggest for being made the scapegoat over all of this - looks like a few Manly senior players went off the rails and decided to throw Hastings under the bus to cover up.
