NRL finals - Week 2 (spoilers)

Post by Byron Bay Fan » Thu 13 Sep, 2018 10:07 pm

Thanks guys for letting me do a Steve Bradbury and sneaking this thread in.

Semi Final 1: Friday, September 14, 7.40pm, Allianz Stadium
NRL: Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks v Penrith Panthers
NRLW: Sydney Roosters v Brisbane Broncos; 5.15pm

Semi Final 2: Saturday, September 15, 7.40pm, ANZ Stadium
NRL: South Sydney Rabbitohs v St George Illawarra Dragons
NRLW: St George Illawarra Dragons v New Zealand Warriors; 5.10pm

Being an ex-Westie I am going for Penrith, my best schoolmates team - calling out Brian Hardy there. Originally I think both Penrith and Cronulla were working class areas but now vote Liberal and found success on the field. Maybe a moral in there. With Balmain going Green they have no hope.

And it's okay to scream when a fantastic try. Unfortunately Former Guest will not be participating in this thread.

I am going to go Bunnies, will be cheering Penrith but I am backing the Bunnies.

I hate St George too much, Sharks need to be removed as a team. I would be happy with a Bunnies vs Panthers final.

Melbourne is the only non syd team in the finals. This is good.

What is your favourite poison would probably be the most accurate thing you can say about the rest of the season.I think i will go with Hemlock

listen mate Cat Stevens even changed to Muslim so there is hope yet you too change horses mid-race and find joy just as divorcees do. You are only a working class team supporter who don't follow the classics, Socrates and hemlock - we only know cheap plonk, ganja, Leichhardt Oval and Arthur Beeton in shorts and thongs.

Hope the vermin get done like the Broncos last week.

The other two are as bad as one another - they'll lose the week after anyway.

Carn the Panthers! Hope they roll Gallen, Fifita and the other grubs from the Shire tonight. Whoever wins hopefully will beat the maggots from Victoria next week.
Souths will lap the injured Saints and set up a Rorters/Rabbits prelim.
Just disappointing that the Broncos are gone, will miss listening to the commentators call Katoni Staggs........that name sounds like some gnarly exotic dose of crotch-rot that someone would bring home from a Thai holiday.

Dislike Panthers but hate the sharts even more so. Hope the sharts are knocked out tonight.
Souffs should handle the drags comfortably

It’s a tuff one tonight, do you go for the peptide salary cap rorting Sharks or do you go for Gus the biggest Gob in the West Panthers. For me in a photo I will go for the Panthers, just can’t go for the Sharks

Dragons or Rabbits, don’t mind either side, but always had a soft spot for the Steelers and I see the Dragons these days as a Illawarra identity rather than Kogarah. In saying that I expect Souths to win in a canter

Me too Ink. Six weeks ago I would have been riding Penny to the premiership. Having lived there most of my life I was always happy to see them go well.

Gus has done his lot for mine, I'd rather back doping cap cheats. I hope the Saints go all the way out of the bunch left.

Fifita puts Townsend over.
