PRESTON CAMPBELL A DANGER MAN TO WESTS TIGERS

Evergreen Gold Coast Titans back Preston Campbell remains very much on the mind of Wests Tigers Head Coach Tim Sheens leading into Monday night’s clash at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

Campbell will play half-back for the injured Scott Prince and Sheens says his players must be on full alert and not underestimate the 15th placed Titans.

“Preparation is very important. At the end of the day it is where they (the players) perceive the opposition to be in their own minds,’’ Sheens said.

“For us, the Gold Coast beat us in (in round 6) as did Parramatta. We were pretty determined last week when we came out against Parramatta and I’m sure the guys will be the same this week.

“We have a high respect for Preston who always seems to manage to slip through our defence on a regular basis when we play him.

“We will be on our toes in that respect and with their win last week, it has obviously taken the pressure off them a little bit.

“They have got their own goals as far as where they are finishing and they don’t want to finish with a poor season or even poorer than they’ve had, so they have plenty of reason to play.

“From our point of view, we have got plenty of reasons to play. We have committed this year to win as many home games as we can and this is our last home game.

“I’d be very disappointed if we don’t turn up. I think we will. It is just a matter then of executing it well.”

I think it's Preston's last game in Sydney and I hope that the Tigers officials acknowledge what a great contribution he has made to the game, the last 'Charger' and the final link between 1998 and 2007.

Preston is Titans only hope Always liked Presto and the way he played the game Would of looked good in a Tigers jersey I reckon
He is a class act on and off the field and I wish him the best of luck in retirement
If Titans do get a try on Monday hope Preston gets it

The only risk to the Tigers is the Tigers mental preparation for the game.

Agree he has been great for the game in showing kids that if you are talented enough and work on your skills you can make it to the top level no matter what your size.

He is a threat if given space. Just keep a line and dont miss him. He's not going to break tackles. If he has the ball just make the tackle.
