Lote Tuqiri

Post by Black Orange White » Mon 29 Aug, 2011 9:16 pm

Not the best game for the big fellow. Didn't make much meters and was generally ineffective with the ball, but had a nice try. Does anyone know if his injury is serious, because a fit Tuqiri with a fit Lawrence makes our left edge world class.

He is nowhere near match fit. Tonight's game and next weeks should do him the world of good before the semi finals.

Hopefully his okay, he just needs games under his belt. He looked okay after the match with no ice so hopefully his right and just pulled up a little sore.

Am I being harsh on him? I said he was ineffective (maybe you feel differently) and he scored a nice try. I also said that a fit Tuqiri will go a long way to us winning in the finals. So I don't see how I was harsh.

Im a little concerned to be honest. I have my heart in my mouth whenever Lote has the ball.

Hopefully he gets some rythm going next week.

He didn't look comfortable tonight.

The pass to Gareth Ellis was one of the most uncharacteristic plays I've ever seen him do.

The try he scored looked to calm him down a lot.

Needs to have Ayshford inside him, although Utai was EXCELLENT at centre tonight.

He was bound to be rusty but I'd rather him make a mistake or two now than in the finals. Sounds like we won't see Lawrence back early next week either.

Has he reinjured his hammy ?? He was hoping to throw open the turbos this week ??

I hope he doesn't go back into that little cloud where he drops the ball whenever it is given to him.

A try hopefully boosted his confidence. Hope to see the big fella back in form next week with a double.
Extremely frustrated fan. Try not to let my negativity get to you.

Yeah I thought I heard that!

In passing the commentary mentioned Lawrence re-tweaked the hammy a bit, but not out any longer than expected.

However looks like Lawrence was due to make a "surprise" return against the Sharks....

Loved seeing Loe back in the team. I know he's rusty, but I much prefer seeing him out on the field than sitting on the sidelines. Reckon he'll be ready to tear up in the finals!
