Congrats to Woodsy

But here is the thing that just makes the NRL look like they are true nongs and have no idea

Andrew Fifita is deemed worthy enough able to win a premiership ring , something that means more to any player that anything else , yet is deemed not worthy enough to play in some two bit international comp that's really only means $20 k a game to the Australian players in real terms

Gee I bet Fifita is bawling his eyes out into his teacup at the moment

If Boyd is better than Teddy I'll give up following the game lol

No one is arguing that Teddy isn't good , but Boyd at the top level of the game (SOO) was the best player from both sides in the 2016 series

Teddy has to prove he is far better than Boyd before Boyd should be dropped

Or even move Boyd to a wing , but Boyd deserves his position in Australia's Top 17

And here I was thinking the NSW selection process was a farce, the Kangaroos are quickly catching up

I agree with your point, but this incumbent argument confuses me. When it suits the selectors its incumbent when it doesn't its form.

So does that mean Boyd wasn't as good as Teddy but Teddy was not significantly better than Boyd?

Woods isn't injured?

I'm all for blooding new talent when required, and definitely positive about considering finals form when selecting end-of-year sides, but this has me head scratching.

So Merrin and S Boyd are not good enough to play Origin, but get called directly into the Aussie side? It's not a bad side, but if Woods isn't the best Aussie prop in the comp on form, then he's second.

And if you are reflecting finals form, out of the entire grand final player group there are only 3 who make this side and just a debutant from the premiers. In fact 4 of the starting 13 and 5 total didn't even figure in the finals, 1 played 1 match, another 4 played 2 matches.

I know Sheens played favourites when he picked Farah and Lawrence way back, but at least the more obvious choices were injured

OK but I had to dig high and low to find that out, think NRL would have mentioned it with the team rather than have lots of people say WTF.
