The shuffle

Post by innsaneink » Sun 01 Apr, 2012 11:25 am

1. Tim Moltzen
2. Beau Ryan
3. Joel Reddy
4. Chris Lawrence
5. Lote Tuqiri

6. Benji Marshall (c)
7. Tom Humble

8. Aaron Woods
9. Liam Fulton
10. Matt Bell
11. Adam Blair
12. Gareth Ellis
13. Chris Heighington

14. Sean Meaney
15. Ben Murdoch-Masila
16. Matt Groat
17. Blake Ayshford

So when Fulton goes for a spell, I gather Humble moves from half to hooker, Moltzen goes from fullback to half, reddy or Beau goes to fullback and Ayshford comes on???

Or is Ayshford purely a forward today??

Humble moves from half to hooker, Moltzen goes from fullback to half, and Meeney goes to fullback

What happens if Humbles killing it?

Mate Meaney will go to hooker and thats that

Ayshford will be the back reserve and play a bit of backrow

Although still a chance for Big Red I keep hearing as a late replacement

I'm not sure what will happen. Sheens could do anything.

That starting team though looks a lot stronger to me especially in the backs. Lote makes them look a lot stronger - hopefully he plays well. Still that starting back row can play a lot of minutes and I fail to understand why Ayshford is on the bench. I'd love to see Galloway replace Ayshford and simply rotate BMM, Groat and Galloway with our starting props throughout the game.

Mate Meaney is not a hookers backside, seriously in deep deep trouble having Meaney in first grade.. Surly the Australian coach is not picking this side, id say Marshall must have a very big say in team selections...

For the second week in a row we a playing a massive pack and we are sending in a under powered bench, a word comes to mind--MADNESS

Anyone who expects a different result is on drugs

I'm with you mate. I think Souths will do it easy this arvo, unless the Tigers can control the ball and somehow win the penalty count. The only way I see the Tigers winning is by starving Souths of possession, and current form suggests they won't be able to do that.

Meaney, a fullback at hooker...dont you see Sheens???... when you put a fullback at hooker in a pressure situation like the first set in golden point, they tend to do silly things like pass the ball back 15 metres to NO ONE!!!!

I thought he was good in the position.

Gave Marshall and Humble quick and early ball.

Made two errors

Kicked a 40/20 to put us in a position to seal the win

A real hooker may have handled the pressure better
Not blaming Meaney, hes not a dummy half

We have one of the better real hookers in the game and he has crapped his dacks in those situations far worse than Meaneys pass today.

I thought it was a stinker but on replay when watching it if Humble had been advancing in formation it would have hit him on the chest. No excuse for throwing it but I though he played as well as any back up hooker we have used since DeGois

No need. I though he played well and made a couple of eroors. It's football, it happens.

Taking away the last 8 minutes my real concern out of the game is the utter impotence and incompetence of our 3/4's

I agree Humble was late on the scene....however the bloke that played first reciever all day long was no where to be seen, standing 2 or 3 wide.
No point Meaney passing to where someone ''should have been'' ...a proper dummy half knows if no one wants it then go yourself, but Sheens would rather a fullback there.
That set the tone for that crap set and gave souths great field possy for the knockout punch

Have we ever won a game when Meaney's name appears on the team sheet ?

That's always my barometer for the team. Whe I see Tim picking Meaney, I know we are in strife !
