Films - not movies

Post by Swordy » Thu 01 Oct, 2015 6:29 pm

Heat.
Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, Val Kilmer etc.

If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favour, hook up the surround sound and get into it.

Has any sequel of a movie been better than the original

My opinion the only one that comes close for me is Terminator 2

Reckon it is better than the original Terminator
There is a few that jump to mind.

Terminator 2 is definitely better
Godfather 2 is definitely better
Back to the future 2 is better IMO

all of which are part of a trilogy, so maybe not technical sequels?

There are prbably some others out there as well.
Back to the Future was utter garbage , you can't possibly class it as a movie

Almost as bad as Teen Wolf :brick:
Back to the future is amazing , do not be ruining my childhood memories!

Stryker recommended that to me ages ago. It's pretty good. Hollywood did the obligatory terrible remake!

Without the slightest of expectation of it, I watched Predestination the other night and actually quite enjoyed it. Quite derivative but nuanced enough for it to be enjoyed in its own right.

Looking at Strykers avatar, the Big Lebowski should get a mention as well.

Saw the last of the Hunger Games flicks last night. Didn't mind it at all. Good finish to the films.

Flicking through the channels the other week I was amazed to find SBS was screening the French horror film Martyrs....in the 8:30 time slot no less hahaha.

Crazy to think such a ferocious film was deemed acceptable for free to air telly consumption...
