For those of you that remember the Solo commercials from back in the day - I recently found out that the original solo man is bunged-up in a Thai prison for trafficking ice.

Maybe it’s common knowledge but I haven’t lived in a Australia for over 10 years so it was news to me. I loved those Solo ads.

Where I was a youngster horses were still the main form of transport for some people. The drunks did not have to worry about getting lost or DUI or losing points - the horses would take them home nice and safely.

Was it called Pinto before it was called Solo or was that a different drink altogether? From memory it was the same.

Saw Reg Gasnier vs Cronulla at Endeavour Park (Field?) Rex Mossop calling the match from a Van. Anyone Remember the Sunday arvo Live B & W Broadcast of the Second Half of the Games back in the 60's early 70's?

I had many relos who were hawkers in the bush and they off-loaded everything legal and illegal including grog and meat. One uncle even gave haircuts and pulled out loose teeth - he learnt in the war.
