One of Australia's best ever athletes passed away recently after a long battle with MS. RIP Betty.

Yes, terrific Aussie athlete...before my time but she was phenomenal

Lovely lady, actually came up to my school in the bush and ran a athletic clinic. Gave me some good advise, give up sprinting and take up middle distance!!!

I think I read that her 400m gold medal time would got her in the semis at the world champs last week and is faster than the current Australian champion. Given the improvement in training and diets that's a phenomenal achievement.
