Wait for the new RS model to come out later this year Watto, I'm eyeing that boy off in a couple of years as my next runabout.Tiger Watto wrote: ↑Sat 06 Jan, 2018 10:17 amMy first car was a XC Falcon for $500happy tiger wrote: ↑Sat 06 Jan, 2018 10:13 amThought you owned a 73 XB Falcon Watto , maybe I have you mixed up with someone else on the ForumTiger Watto wrote: ↑Sat 06 Jan, 2018 6:54 am2010 XR50 [XR6] Falcon. Will be passing this on to my 16yr old boy once he gets his license.
The wife bought a Polo last year and its the first time I have driven a small car. As a result, I'm going to also downsize to the Renault Megane GT.

Might look at buying the last XR6 while keeping the XR50 seeing it's a collectors item.

My first car was a 1981 Dihatsu Charade - 1.0litre 3 stroke engine with a blown cylinder - so really a 2 stroke.
I bought it for $650 and a case of beer - and that included 4 new tyres and 11 months rego..
Ahhh, memories.
Ok it did feel like you were in a two stroke... but hey it was fun.
Sure everyone else had a white Barina, but at least the Green car had style. (ok my yellow Datsun wagon called Katie had style... and a redback embalmed in the gearstick!)

This is our transport to all home games, give us a wave if you spot the toolbox and the Tigers stickers on the tray. I will fly the Tigers flag on it on game day as well.

Had a laugh over the Alfa GT v6 and the Citroen...had the Alfa for a short period and it cost a bomb to run,,was almost Jaguar -like in that you had to have 2 of "em cause they were so unreliable. But when the Alfa was going,an absolute cracker with a beautiful exhaust note.
Never had a Citroen, but a Renault Fuego for several years as a company car.Great car to drive, but internal bits constantly fell off it ,until finally it rolled and just about everything fell off!Except me fortunately.
Been driving a CLA AMG 45 for 12 months...wonderful car and quite the firecracker...but somehow the above 2 clunkers had a bit more "soul".Think its the German thing vs France/Italy.
Last word..there was a waiting list on that Merc when I bought it,so no discounts anywhere locally...until I shopped around 40kms from where I live and they knocked $5k off as they were aware they wouldn't have got the business otherwise

I have an old rodeo tonner for trips to and from work and hauling junk about.
A 2014 Colorado for towing the caravan and carting kids around.
Weekend car is a HZ Kingswood Wagon with a fairly wild 355 stroker. If I baby the s*** out of it I can get about 25L to the hundred! And it's still more efficient than an electric car!

We are a two car family. Family car is the Kluger. The second car is a manual 2001 Subaru Liberty. I’ve kept it for my two daughters to learn to drive on. It’s just over 16 yrs old and has never broken down. It’s been a really good car but if they prang it I won’t be upset either . It AWD has air bags had the 5 Star safety rating and was voted car of the year back in its day.
My eldest has her L’s and has been going quite well in it. The main thing I wanted to teach them is how to use yours gears before going into corners or down steep roads .
