Bushfires
Thanks to the forum members who sent their well wishes during the fires appreciated. .
Just want to give a special mentione to the NSW and RFS firieys who did an awesome job as always protecting lives and property. ..At the height of the threat we had our own fire truck in the backyard as did nearly every house in Sandy Point ....they stayed vigilant for close on 36 hours.....its a miracle no homes were lost when see the devastation the fires caused. ..
It has been reported the fire was deliberately lit..i just hope they catch the bastards and string them up by the balls....

Hey GEO,glad no lives or huge property lost....the good thing about us Aussies is we stick through thick and thin to care and look after each other...our firemen and women,SES and volunteers are truly one of a kind who Iam glad to have my back in terrible circumstances.
You may see me struggle...but you will never see me quit...

The really sad thing is that they are all deliberately lit. Should be attempted murder charges laid when they catch these mongrels.Geo. wrote: ↑Tue 17 Apr, 2018 11:06 amThanks to the forum members who sent their well wishes during the fires appreciated. .

Glad to hear all is well with you and yours Geo. I've never heard of Sandy Point so had no idea you were near the fires!
Sharkie territory = Sandy Point. Plenty of bush around there, Sand Doesn't burn though.
I can't talk, I'm in Sea Eagles territory...planted as a Tigers spy.
We have spies in the far North, WA, everywhere

Glad to hear that everything is ok. We get the odd fire here so know how important it is to have professional support in the shape of the RFS. Even so it’s makes for a tough weekend and we still managed to put 38 points on Manly.
Need more props.

Typical hippies living in the bush , hiding your stash no doubts

Hope you offloaded half of your pie stash to feed the Firies
Hope they find the so and so's that lit the fires , yet again fires in school holidays , they don't learn
Go and have fun in China , find us a few future NRL superstars while your there OK
And if there is one lesson we should teach our kids , DON'T PLAY WITH FIRE
Can remember when I was at primary school a Grade 4 threw a lit can of petrol away and it exploded when it hit his younger brother who was in Year 1
The headmaster had the wonderful idea to have all the Year 7's to visit the young kid at the hospital , even now the memories of the horrific odour of badly burnt human skin still turns my stomach 35 years later

Glad to hear you and the locals are all ok. The fireies do a great job!
Incredible to think that someone could do such a thing on purpose. Probably got no balls to hang them from.

Yes but we are at the arse end of the Shire closer to Liverpool than Sutherland...no sand either un less you count the 5m of 1st beach on the Georges River....
The fires have burnt over 3000 hectares now.....once it got into the Army Reserve Land there was no stopping it......every now and then you here a loud boom with the amount of un exploded ordinance in there..
Heathcote Rd remains closed ..residents are allowed back in but with a police escort...
We had to get back in by boat across the River on Sunday ...we packed for China and got out not knowing how long the restrictions on the road were going to last....smart move that we did...
