Defence

Post by MacDougall » Mon 06 Apr, 2015 5:14 pm

Huge defensive effort today. We won the grind and Parra finally gave up at the end when they couldn't find a way through.

Just 10 missed tackles today compared to 26 from Parramatta. Mitch Moses 0 missed tackles from 11. Brooks came up with 3 one on one tackles. Farah 46 tackles topped the count.

Great defensive display from our halves today, just so good.

Dont worry about the attack. Richards will get us out of trouble.

Very impressed with the defence. Parra had to resort to throwing the ball and it blew up in their faces more often than not.

12 errors and 70% completion rate doesn't help. We had more ball, and defended more interestingly enough.

Defence was very good but Parra threw very little at us. Parra pack was exhausted for the last 30 minutes.

Definite improvement on the last decade though :)
Madgic!

I thought Moses had a real dig in defence today.

2nd best defense in the league. What a turnaround in 6 months.

True and I thought some of Brooks' tackles were good as well. Have to give it to Farah though he just keeps turning up in defence taking bigger men on front on, he tend to latch on to them smothering the ball and holds long enough for team mates to assist.

Was an absolute bludger of a game to watch up until the 60 min mark, but I'll take that everyday of the week if we're winning on the back of our defensive grind top notch today

It was a horrible match to watch. Both sides looked inept with the ball at times.

However after years of fancy football and flimsy defence, I can live with us going the other way.

Equal 2nd best defence in the comp, if we keep that up we make the top 8 simple.

Defence has been much improved over last season and this is the standard we need to keep. Everyone is working hard for one another and the new structure is clearly working. Taylor certainly knows strategy.
