Nice to know we have a future talent signed.

Don't know much about him but appears better football judges than me believe he is worth it. Look forward to seeing him play.

I want results from this kid on that type of money. Huge risk.
Let's make the Tigers great again!

A lot of money for an unproven player lets hope this is a good move.I will be eagerly watching him in the 9s even if he gets little time.
This appears to be a parallel to how Benji started with us on serious dollars before he was known.

Big boy with speed. Good try.

He made a great break earlier in the highlight package as well.

Wests Tigers did alright years ago when they signed Benji Marshal as a kid.

Don't push him too early. He is only a youngster.

Over a million dollars for someone who hasn't played first grade. It's self explanatory.

We're already pretty heavily invested in potential. If we had that kind of money to spend it might have been better used to get a proven talent with experience. Imagine if we'd thrown this sort of money at Marion Seve a few years ago...

The SMH article is a tad misleading. It's really a four year deal which doesn't sound as bad. As others have mentioned I'd say it's heavily incentive based. Anyways whatever we spent I suppose it's nice that we were able to beat out glamour clubs like the dogs and storm for an in demand kid.

Yeah, but we didn't. Maybe that tells you something about this kid.

Fair comparison with Seve. I suppose the difference is Suli looks physically ready for NRL today whereas Seve was always a bit on the small side for a modern day outside back.

Great to have a kid from within our system signed up - but when we continue to have salary cap issues, it's a bit rich of the current administration to simply blame the previous board prior to the independents. Farah aside, the issues we're experiencing now are a result of the people either in place now or directly previous to them (Mayer, Moss etc).

Were Suli and Papenhuyzen the centre/wing combo for Matts and Ball?

Exactly. No different to the deal we did for Marshall years ago.

If that is how the market price him, then thats what we had to pay or lose him.
