So, who is going to be as silly as I was last year and waste hundreds of dollars on tickets, hotel, petrol money to see your team get beaten by 50?
I work Sunday mornings but if I can get it done by midday I'm a chance of making it from the city to Bruce stadium in time for kickoff. I'll see how I'm feeling Sunday morning and whether my wife's keen for a road trip. If it's a sunny day it'll be fun.

I sense many TV's could be off by the 30 minute mark next week...this could be messy.
Earth hour might be starting early this year.

Negativity aside

I think our best way to win this game is to run them raggered. We obviously can't compete in the forwards. So a lot of 2nd phase, unstructured footy is probably needed and a heavy flow of possession

If we get them fatigued unleash Teddy, Moses, Nofo and co to do their thing

Cronulla aren't exactly a big team like us either but used this game plan and it worked to their advantage

All in all, I'll be happy if we are atleast competitive in defeat
Ted Glossip said when he was coaching the Canterbury in the early 80's a good small team will always beat a big team, you just don't let them catch you.

Its not impossible. Remember last year when the raiders put 60 on us. Everyone was predicting souths to steamroll over us the next week, but we got one over them.
Its the type of game we win.
I'll say it right now, it's impossible. We won't get to within 30 points of the Raiders on Sunday, they'll have a training run against us.

We will bounce back....tough game though. If Moses and co don't step up they will start knocking zeros off their potential contracts. Bigger bench will help.

If the team has any balls here's the chance for payback for last years pathetic effort. Any team is floggable on any given week in this comp.

Take your Weststigers glasses off and but your bookmakers glasses on and there is only one possible result and it will not be pretty
The form Guide reads

last run..failed to impress and showed very little ability
last time run on this track....finished 60 lengths behind the winner
last time they met....finished 50 lengths behind the winner

Once again a step up in class and very hard to see them even in the straight with the winner..save your money for a better contest (might not be in 2017)

I love to have a punt on a long shot at times, and this week I will have something on the WTs....
If Brooks can find the vision out there to place his kicks deep and keep the Raiders on the back foot would be a start toward winning,if he takes the smart options on the last and runs the ball more when the opportunity is there, then the side may just get in the groove to play their backsides off..Brooks and Moses must finally step up and play like two great playmakers they are hyped up to be,if not then I don't care to much about the team this year because we will not be NRL finals contenders with what we have atm...
You may see me struggle...but you will never see me quit... :D

Everything points to us copping a thundercocking, but you can never 100% write a team off. I'll certainly tip Canberra in the tipping comps but we're a special for at least one upset a year.

First time I've heard someone call people snowflakes for being realistic.

Pray tell have you ever commented to offer an opinion or insight, or do you only ever pop up to take pot shots from the peanut gallery?

Cosimo, Jonathan save yourselves the heartache (and the money spent) guys and stay home!!! Even if we play close to our best I still don't think we can match it with Canberra. They have our number and they know how to roll right through us.

If anyone is thinking our toilet paper defence is going to be miraculously stronger in just one week then they're deluded!
