I haven't been too impressed by Liddle, hope there is more to his game than what we've seen so far otherwise our number 9 will continue to be a weak link next season.

Cue BBF........

I think Liddle is really impressive and has a lot of potential. Should be our hooker for years to come.

I read somewhere during the week that the Kiwi's were struggling to have an in-form hooker for the world cup. I wonder if Mcilwrick will get a shot. Defensively he is good and if all they want is to give the ball to the big Kiwi forwards or Johnson then he might be a chance. If so it would help to get some game time with Matalino and Packer for next year presuming they get picked.

An adaptable all rounder hooker is even better still, yesterday's game when RF was one or two out from DH he was magic directing the play - that was when they were dangerous. Brooks, according to an earlier post, had DH talents so could be experimented with during the off season. Nothing like having the opposition in two minds where the attack and from who will be coming from. It can even be done against the Storm in top gear.
Malcolm Knox: What has happened this week is a pity for the Tigers, a pity for Jason Taylor and a pity for Robbie Farah, who had achieved more than the Big Four put together but was somehow turned into collateral damage. (SMH 25-26 March, 2017)

Perhaps he's been told not to run
That may be why Taylor loved him so much :D

It was Newcastle Tacky! I could terrorise Newcastle

Anyway let's hope you're right and Liddle eventually lives up to the hype. One of our juniors has to one day, surely?

Even though it was Newcastle, I think he showed enough to justify his position in the team. He had some good games against the Cowboys and the Sharks as well. I do think he's a little on the smaller side at the moment but, give him a preseason or 2 and then we should have a better idea of how good he can be.

And if he doesn't kick on, we've always got ET.

As mentioned before he has bad knees and it has been a credit to him for the amount of football he has played this year. I for one am happy to have him as our backup to Liddle.

Liddle is a fine hooker now. I can't wait to watch him with Matulino, Packer, Twal and Grant next year.
