Tedesco voted as players champion and 3 Tigers in the team of the year? How on earth? Were half of the NRL players not included in this event?

Teddy is quality but I'm surprised by this. Also surprised to see Nofo there but good luck to him - great clubman.

Ok, but it still begs the question - how on earth? There were heaps better players than some of the guys chosen in that team - think top 8 teams for a start.

Perhaps it was a case of anyone but Cameron Smith!

So, is there any criteria to this? I just can't see it, he wasn't all that good for us this year, certainly not worth the coin he was asking for

Coming home with a wet sail helps, just like representative selection from finals form, in the near memory. Tedesco's first half year plus was not worthy of nomination.

Some very odd names in that team of the year.
From memory the voting process involves each player nominating 3 opposition players on a 3-2-1 basis after each game.

Congrats to Nofo. I cant believe people are puzzled. Sure, he is not top shelf talent, but does anyone here think he doesnt give 100% every moment of every match? As a player, id rather play with that guys who isnpassionate and will never give up. Doesnt bludge, gets in and has a dig, doesnt constantly relax and look at himself on the big screen, never stops trying and is loyal.

Why the surprise?

This sounds about right. So really it is just part gauge of who is the best player relative to the others in his own team, not in the whole comp.
Hopefully, none of our players win this one again, if Ivan's phylosify comes to fruition.

Just further proves the players are idiots.
Ted was just above average this year. Probably his least effective in our colours.
Woods had a pretty good year but was thiroughly outplayed in origin by guys still playing in the finals series.
Nofo was about the 20th best winger in the comp. Wheres the two from Melbourne and Semi?
Hurrell as top 2 centers? Not a chance in hell.

Very very weird decisions not based on reality.
