Questions for Pascoe
Hello Everybody,
In 1 months time in the school holidays I will be going into Concord to have a talk with Justin Pascoe.
When I grow up, I hope to get into business and someday be the CEO for the Wests Tigers.
So I emailed him and asked if I could come in and have a chat about what it takes to be a CEO at the Wests Tigers and he is genoursly is willing to give up some of his time and have a chat to me!
So if you have any questions you want answered by Pascoe here's your chance.
Ben

Set your goals a little bit higher than CEO of a football club young man.

A noble cause but one i'm sure you can surpass with the obvious guts to get ahead that you have.WestsBenTigers wrote: ↑Tue 14 Nov, 2017 8:50 pmWHat can be higher than being the boss of the greatest organisation in the world!
Exactly. That's a great job.WestsBenTigers wrote: ↑Tue 14 Nov, 2017 8:50 pmWHat can be higher than being the boss of the greatest organisation in the world!
Alternatively you could do a Russell Crowe and make millions in Hollywood then come back and buy the Tigers. I love how when Adam MacDougall left Souths he said he was sick of Rusty showing him how to run lines. That's exactly what I'd do if I owned the Tigers. I love to have my own footy team and spend my days making up backline plays. Anyway CEO would be good as well.
Ivan "Billy Beane from Moneyball" Cleary!

Everybody has to have a passion in life and I'm glad yours is the Tigers.
Good on you mate for taking the initiative to email Pascoe and get a meeting with him. People like you are what this team and its management need in the future.
As for a question ask him if the centre of excellence at Concord is till going ahead.
Cheers

Don't forget to tell him that you were the "Ben asking about Benji" in the CEO coach Q&A session.
Ask him if we are actually chasing other players at this stage

Why not go for Greenbergs job instead! Then you can kick the roosters and Manly out of the comp. move the Sharks to Perth, manly to Darwin, the Bulldogs to Adelaide and Souths to Broome.
You can do the Tigers more good from that role.
Just make sure you leave your integrity at home each morning before you go to work. If your not sure on how to do that just ask Greenberg.
BTW my question for Justin would be does he think the NRL is truely a level playing field - salary cap/TPA's.

He won't tell you what players they are after but he would tell you what position they want to strengthen I hope he says back row

Its admirable that you contacted Justin. It shows courage and desire.
I mean this feedback to be gentle but I also want to ensure you hear it.
In life, integrity is everything.
You set this meeting up in the context of you wanting to be a CEO in the future. Accordingly, you need to ask him questions that are consistent with that.
What it takes to be a CEO at Wests Tigers is not consistent with which player, position or opinion of the NRL Pascoe has.
Offering to ask other peoples questions and publicly share the answers is a massive breech of trust.
So you want to be a CEO. The number 1 rule is: You have to inspire trust. People follow leaders that they trust. In the foundation.
My advice to you. Close the threat. Rescind the offer and understand that there is a code that surrounds Justin agreeing to meet you. He respected you, now you need to return that respect.
For your own development towards being a CEO (Husband, father, member of Australian society) you need to choose to be trustworthy.
Yes that is good advice.Mccarry wrote: ↑Wed 15 Nov, 2017 1:19 pmBen,WestsBenTigers wrote: ↑Tue 14 Nov, 2017 7:08 pmSo I emailed him and asked if I could come in and have a chat about what it takes to be a CEO at the Wests Tigers

please ask him if the club is looking at some ex- nrl players playing in England that might strengthen our back row.
for god sake lighten up, the kid wants to get a few questions answered he does not want the blue print to the season. as long as pascoe is will to give u something i think that fair enough, just be respectful.Mccarry wrote: ↑Wed 15 Nov, 2017 1:19 pmBen,WestsBenTigers wrote: ↑Tue 14 Nov, 2017 7:08 pmSo I emailed him and asked if I could come in and have a chat about what it takes to be a CEO at the Wests Tigers

Ask him where the club plans to be in ten years time. Not locstion, hopefully that will be Sydney, but where it will be financially etc, do we have s long term plan.
Ask him why he pursued the role? Was it a love of business, of sports, of rugby league, the club. Why did he take the role and where does he see himself (not the club) in ten years
