Happy,
Is it possible to do it again when the round 1 teams are named and change the scoring to be based on the final standing / ranking of the players from last season?
Please don't encourage him....
I think we all have to be very patient with Happy. You gotta admit his sense of humour with his username is pretty good.

I actually think he did good this time apart from not marking as no 1 in a lot of positions. I think we are no 1 in wingers, centres, halves, fullback and every forward role. I think we get the lowest score possible (which is really the highest) of 14.

The user name has nothing to do with my demeanour

Gladstone is known by locals as HappyRock

I couldn't be bothered typing the Rock bit

Actually that brings me to a question I have wanted to ask for many a year

Why was my Skando 4 PM refused as my initial choice as a user name , no one else has it Geo /mods ??

Not sure how you can rate players in certain positions. It would depend on the type of player you want. e.g fullback. Slater & Boyd 1 &2. One is a runner and the other a ball player.

I would rate Hopoate & Gordon as average, yet would have Dylan Edwards a lot further up the list

Thanks very much for this Happy. Very interesting and dare I say pragmatic analysis of where we stand compared to the competition. We can all debate the individual rankings but it seems to me that you’ve got the big picture about right. Certainly a very good starting point for discussion.
Need more props.

Obviously is based on 2017 to a degree , but like a great rock song we could head up the charts with a bullet , especially if the younger players step up and Cleary can get the best out of the squad every week

Slater was one of the easier decisions along with Smith and Thurston , to a lesser extent the props and Taumalolo

On what form are people rating Tedesco so highly?
Poor 2017
Average SOO series
Pathetic for Italy
He is not top 5 for mine. Slater, Boyd and Trbojevic are head and shoulders above him. They are all playing on a different level. RTS, Duges, Holmes and Gutho more often than not have him covered as well.

Haha just hacking on you. As an overall ranking of teams, i think you got us right. Coming into the season, the good judges have us missing the 8 and with multiple good reasoning. I think a massive back half to the year will see us scrape in but a lot of work has to be done first. Itll be an interesting year.

Supposedly he just missed on Players player at SOO for NSW

He might've slipped back on the my list if Inglis or Gutherson had played all season

His whole career. He wasn't at his best in 2017 but there were probably reasons for that. Boyd had a poor 2017 as well.

Dugan and Holmes do not have the ball playing that Tedesco does. RTS doesn't really either. Slater, Tedesco, Trbojevic and Boyd are all great runners of the ball that also have great passing games, which is why I rate them as the top 4. Gutherson hasn't spent as much time at fullback and is not as great a runner of the ball as any of them for mine.

Really? That is silly. He got steadily worse as the pressure of the series went on. Slater taught him so many lessons he needed to be carrying a notebook out there. Oh well, I stand by my call. Tommy will take his jumper this series.

Tedesco is a ball player?
Not in my view. He is a hog who occasionaly offloads to someone he has crabbed into the sideline. Most of his passes are to guys in a worse position than him. Hes a running fullback with poor defensive positioning and a weak passing game.

You're just going off 2017, he had 14 try assists in 2015 and 12 try assists in 2016. He set up a lot with that brilliant tap-on of his that was rarely seen in 2017.
