The less Reynolds tries to do things himself the more value we will get out of him.

I'm glas we didn't complete the comeback, a wake up call for fans and some of the players before things get serious.
Putting him on the bench for most of the game would give him nearly nothing to do.
Less time for him to stuff up

Isn’t this what trials are for to test combinations why panic when we have not started the competition proper as I am sure the Cowboys did not slit their wrists last week
True , but with all the "depth" you think blokes would be cutting off their right arms for a starting position

We played without enthusiasm , especially in defence , that's the concern for me

Brooks is not receiving good ball by any stretch of the imagination.
When we are being smacked 20 nil and many want to blame the 1/2 back?
Missed most of the match except the end, yet have had the same thoughts from just reading this thread of the first half.
Your assumption is wrong former.....Brooks was poor regardless of his forwards....same old rubbish

The charge-down was dead-set embarrassing... and classic 'Brooks on a bad day'.

IT'S ONLY A TRIAL GAME!!!! IT DOESN"T MEAN ANYTHING!!!

2016 trial game: Wests Tigers draw with Sharks. Sharks win the Grand Final. Tigers 9th.
2017 trial game: Tigers beat the Cowboys. Cowboys make the Grand final. Tigers 15th.

It doesn't mean anything.

OK calmed down, blood pressure back into three figures.

I liked Thompson but our forwards need to protect him when he is being man handled or cheap shots being put on him. Surely we have the size to do this now.

Yes Godinet looked the best at dummy half.

Rochow put in and good to see he played big minutes.

I like Marsters efforts but defense or reads in defense need work.

Not going to bag anyone (did enough of that already) but I am sure Ivan will be working on the kicking game before round 1.

Brooks is on life support , he has no idea and is not good enough for this level if Cleary is serious Brooks will be playing ISP within 4 weeks of the season starting.

Yes I agree , but our attitude sucked

Don't care if it is a GF or a trial , be mentally right and show up and show 110%

I don't expect us to win every game , but I ask one thing , attitude and effort

Forget the performance .....

I wouldn’t Judge the halves in trials. NRL teams don’t ever play to their structures in the trials absolutely never. Coaches are not dumb enough to give away their shapes before round 1. I don’t want to give away our plays in the offseason so we can feel good about they year ahead.

We were always going to struggle with that side against quality side like the sharks.
First game for our front row, centre combo not the best and kinda experimental shot by the coach.
Still think LoLo to fullback Thompson to wing. Nofo is still a defensive liability and that just can’t go on.
Also think that They will persist with Reynolds Brooks combo for couple of games but if they don’t click it open season.
Our second row spots should be filled by in form players and for me, Lawrence is a good bench option only.
Yes it’s a trial but we don’t want to start the season with a bad loss against the roosters.
Key to success remains reliant on Improved Defence and successful half’s combo.
