If Cleary can come up with a 500k deal and secure Woods i just dont care about anything that has been and gone.

We need another class prop. End of story
Sounds like Bulldogs want 600k-650k to be paid by the other club.
If that includes releasing Moses Mybe on a small figure this season then lets chat. Otherwise enjoy the spoon.
Its an opinion!

That is all the Dogs should have paid for Woods, but alas they didn't, and now someone gets a decent deal because their management were morons

Sharks made an offer and want Woods for 500k. Dogs won’t meet the difference.
Wont happen unless the Dogs chip in more coin. Very credible source Dogs only want to chip in 150-200k.

I think No club in the NRL will make the deal Dogs will be stuck with Woodsy.
Makes sense

Ii for one believe this is the case
I reckon the sharks will blink first.
Yeah Gallen and Lewis arnt getting younger, I think he will end up at the sharks.

Only team that will pay overs are the Knights but he wants to be in a team that he can walk into and play finals every year.
A bit of argy bargy over the deal- still think he will be at the Sharks before June 30.
If Bulldogs thought they could get rid of Foran they probably would, but cant think of who would invest in him.
The Sharks have got them over a barrel if Woods doesnt want to leave Sydney.

Is there any actual talk of us talking to woods? I’m warming to the idea. Think he would complement our pack actually, I’d have him replacing Grant, but with Matolino still coming off the bench. Alongside Packer woods would make these meters we need to get out of our end that TIGER keeps begging for. The Sharks are just selfish with what they expect. They wanted the dogs to kick in half. Talk is now they are rallying hard for Taupau. For mine, had we resigned woods for 700k before all the drama most people would of been happy with that. With the dogs in the position they are in even if they kick in minimum 200k that is 600k we would be paying for woods. Well worth it for former Australian front rower and would come with a point to prove as well.
Thoughts?
Absolutely. Woods and Taupau and we're looking great.
I like it - but highly unlikely.
Might need to get the Roosters or Brisbane to balance our books.
I agree, but the point to my comment was more asking the question if anyone knows whether we are interested?

Get rid of Sue and Grant and there's the cash for Woods.

Definitely not worth his 800k. 600k would be the absolute Max for him imo. Closer to 500k is more on the money for what his worth.

Ivan said recently he is interested in talking to quality NRL players that are interested in playing for the Tigers. I would consider Woods a quality player with a bad manager.

There's a big chance the Rorters are going to pick up Woods on the cheap .. after all they heaps of money left in their salary sombrero ... oops i mean salary cap.

What a shame for Woodsy, he thought he'd parachute into the finals.
And she's turning cold, at fifteen years old,
Taken too much slow, minds gone out to sea on the P&O,
Don't know what to do, rotten shade of blue,
Another case of "stupid is as stupid does..."

Cuando llegue el día, y estoy parado a las puertas del cielo, será Dios pidiendo mi perdón...

Apparently they are yet to spend any of their cap.

I think Woods would have to ask Ivan nicely if he can come back if we are to see him at the Tigers again

We only want players who want to play for the club and the team
That was Aaron before he left

He would no doubt be regretting the day he left the Tigers
Look at the mess he has got himself in
Swallow some pride Aaron
Give Ivan a call
Work something out
Come back home to where you belong
Bring $300000 a year from the dogs and we will give you $500000
You get your $800000 a year and get to play in the best forward rotation in the NRL

I heard the same. I don’t think the board would sign off on his return even if Cleary has a change of heart. He made it well known through Fox colleagues that he was no fan of Go and Pascoe being a major reason he left.
It’s not an accident he was working there at the time.

Idk how you could sign off on a player one year removed from him throwing your club under the bus. If it were at the end of his 4 year contract, and water had passed under the bridge, then maybe. It’s too early to bring him back like nothing happened. The club has to show some dignity. And it wasn’t just the interview, not once as captain did he ever lead by example and endorse the club. Had too many self interests.
