Happy of course Ivan is identifying players aren't the right fit for the club

Just hope the replacements are step forwards as far as talent and commitment is concerned

Not a step sideways with a hope and a prayer connected to the new recruits
Is that after he brings them here for a test drive on a 3 year contract.

Either he has no talent and was a bad signing, or
He ha talent but the coach cannot motivate him, or
He has talent combined with work ethic problems which would have been identified with diligence checks. Bad signing, or
He has an injury which limits his output (not enough for career ending retirement) meaning he is not up to 1st grade.

3 of the 4 options above are bad news for the club
True but he would have asked a lot of questions

Every club has dud recruitment from time to time

Jack Bird at Brisbane , how much did they pay for him for example

Foran at two clubs now

Yes we have had way too many , but retention has been a major issue , we have let go some absolute gems that would be making our life far ,far easier
Let too many good ones go and replaced them with lesser quality. And our juniors - is there any?
Brooks and Lawrence ??

For what ever reason his heart was not in it this year, but thanks for kicking that goal to beat the Rorters in round one.
Today we saw a true champion in Winx, and a true bludger in Cleary!

Ones coming through? Must admit I have lost touch of late of any good young prospects. Do we have any, other than Liddle that look like they will transition to FG anytime soon?

Tui owes me 6 months of my life which I held so much anticipation and sheer excitement over the off season ... I had high hopes for this guy at fullback with an offseason under Cleary and Hodgson. I defended him so many times on this forum, however I now despite him for his laziness, lack of interest and obvious post midnight food binges which have transformed his body into a medicine ball.
When he let Gallen drop to the try line at his feet after several team mates were holding Gallen up was the last straw for me!!! All his mates needed was for Tui to look interested and Gallen would have relented in the tackle. Instead the lazy piece of crap stood there and watch it all unfold mere centimetres from his fingertips - the turning point in the game which we had at our mercy.
Even at 5/8 he spent most of the time disjointing the backline by running sideways but we knew he had the talent but mentally he is still a part timer.
With the acquisition of some old Warriors teammates this year (Matulino, Packer, Taylor) he could not have died of loneliness but it sure damned seemed that way.
You can leed a horse to water but you can’t make it drink!
Ivan must be totally embarrassed now after courting Tui so aggressively last year, however Ivan wasn’t to know that Tui had lost his soul since the halcyon days at the Warriors.
If the Tigers are smart we will only release him to sign with a Super League club as we will surely have to pay freight to any NRL club vultures that will take him off our hands.
See ya Later Alligator!

at 5/8 the only thing he knew how to do was kick for himself.
and he sucked at that as well.
the possession that he simply gave away would drive me nuts.
when moved to fullback,i thought maybe he won't anymore.
sure enough he kicks for himself twice.

pre season with warriors,overweight
pre season with tigers,overweight

very lucky boy to still be getting paid to play.

I’m a Lolohea fan and really thought that he would make a go of it at fullback but it hasn’t worked out and he obviously sees better opportunities to play elsewhere. He’ll end up being one of those players who bounces from club to club.

Very lucky someone is willing to take him and his contract.

Doesn't have the heart for the NRL. I remember thinking when Mbye dived for the ball in between defenders on the try line to save a try against the Titans that there was no way Lolohea would have done that.

Gamble has had one go at 5/8 in a badly beaten team, he'll be good for us next year with another off season. He's probably got less talent than Tui, but more upside since he seems to have the work ethic.

Yep had massive hopes for him this season, I talked him up to everyone pre season but what a let down. He played lazy and unfit. It Was prob a hard call for ivan too as he must have shown him some faith and backing when he first signed him. Good to see ivan letting some dead wood go in general latley.

He wouldn't have felt so great watching Mbye carve it up at fullback 2 weeks ago. :roll

Mbye seems like a almost natural fullback and has 100% more courage then Lolohea.

The right work ethic is more important than ability when it comes to a team game.Talent oozes from Tui but he has missed the bus in regards to applying it(pun intended).
Quite sad really because he certainly has the ability
