The best thing you can do is to follow another sport... plenty of options available. For me, I choose to start following the NFL (not everyone’s cup of tea)... I loosely followed it from 2012-2014, and then started really getting it in 2015. Now I absolutely love it. I still follow league, but not as closely as once upon a time.
lol Do you know how rigged a lot of supporters think the NFL is. I'm a huge supporter of the NFL and the forums have so many threads about how rigged the NFL is.
Was going to say the same thing

XL February 5, 2006 Pittsburgh Steelers over Seattle Seahawks
XLI February 4, 2007 Indianapolis Colts over Chicago Bears
XLII February 3, 2008 New York Giants over New England Patriots
XLIII February 1, 2009 Pittsburgh Steelers over Arizona Cardinals
XLIV February 7, 2010 New Orleans Saints over Indianapolis Colts
XLV February 6, 2011 Green Bay Packers over Pittsburgh Steelers
XLVI February 5, 2012 New York Giants over New England Patriots
XLVII February 3, 2013 Baltimore Ravens over San Francisco 49ers
XLVIII February 2, 2014 Seattle Seahawks over Denver Broncos
XLIX February 1, 2015 New England Patriots over Seattle Seahawks
50 February 7, 2016 Denver Broncos over Carolina Panthers
LI February 5, 2017 New England Patriots over Atlanta Falcons
LII February 4, 2018 Philadelphia Eagles over New England Patriots

Certainly lots of Super Bowl appearances for Patriots, Steelers and Seahawks... must be rigged! Patriots have won 5, lost 3 of the last 18 Super Bowls.
The Patriots (as much as I dislike them) are regularly successful due to the fact that they are in a really weak division which means they are nearly assured of a playoff spot and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. They also have the best player in the history of the game who regularly wins games off his own mastery.
The NFL divisions are assigned purely by geography, the Pats are blessed to be bordered by underachieving cities. This could change in time.
Referees in the NFL virtually have zero influence on the outcome of games, they couldn't be accused of bias IMO.
The NRL on the other hand is butchered every single week by biased refereeing, massive bias towards certain clubs to ensure maximum exposure/revenue and unmatched incompetency by its administration. It has a huge stink around it on many levels.

Idk what’s worse, the bad officiating or the constant whining about it. If anything ever turns me away from the game, it will be the whinging.
If the whinging upsets you so much i am curious to why you would look in this thread and then bother to post in it? Seems strange to me.
The irony.
Excellent response.
I post on Cammy threads because I hate the bloke. I don't go into those threads and state "all this talk about Smith is turning me away from the game".
Not sure why someone would purposely open threads just to post "this topic turns me away from the game". I cant understand that logic.

Got to be rigged. Nothing to do with TB12
He was drafted in the 6th round, that's how rigged the NFL is, they turned a 6th round pick into a hall of famer just so the Patriots could have a dynasty.

In all serious though anyone who believes that any major sporting competition is rigged is not thinking straight.

The NRL may not be "rigged" as in the result of a game is pre-determined but games/results are without question manipulated by referees to get a desired outcome. That is not far off being genuinely rigged IMO.
There are just too many horrendous stuff-ups every single week for it simply to be written off as incompetence or honest mistakes.
You could easily write a 10 000 word essay on examples of bias, favouritism etc in just the last 10 years of the NRL alone.
You only have to look at how many "fairytales" have occurred within the NRL comp over the last 10 years or so. If it is all just coincidence it would be astonishing to say the least.

Ok now in just one of those years now show me the Patriots getting every MNF game like the Brisbane Broncos get Friday nights in our comp for YHE LAST 20 years.P.S You wont and therein lies the difference. We have two states(3 Vics)playing league and half the games administrators are from north of the border where it is Broncos first daylight second for boardroom power. To use an NFL COMPARISON it is like saying the eastern states make up 31 teams while the whole western half of the USA is New England.

You do realise the Broncos have a total of 5 Friday night games this year. In years gone by when 9 decided the draw they got a heap of Friday nights but not this year.

And you do realise all others have been Thursday night except two games.Hmmmm when origins on the Wednesday night..All of a sudden their massive need for Brisbane on a Thursday/Friday night has gone walkies.Hmmm very convenient.
Cant have those poor little Bwoncos on a 2 day backup but they sure as hell can make sure the team travelling interstate has a short back up week in week out.

The Broncos getting most Friday night games has nothing to do with rigging the draw, it is all about maximising rating in Qld. I still think it is wrong but to say they are doing because they are rigging the comp is tin foil hat thinking.

The Roosters use third party agreements to extend their cap, I personally do not know their is much the NRL can do about those as do not personally believe we should be limiting what players can earn through endorsements.

No let the players earn what they can, but the NRL has to come up with a system that gives every club the same level field to play on. I have suggested in the past that every player is given a points ranking and each team is restricted to x amount of points. Okay thats just one way, I am sure there are others.

At present the salary cap is killing the teams it was aimed to protect, because to attract players to certain teams you have to offer massive overs and still your only going to get players at least one tier down from the top. So at the end of the day you are not going to be able to get enough quality into roster. Developing juniors is a dangerous path to take because the likes of the Chooks are just going to get them when they are ripe for the picking.

Anyway we have been through this a million times, but the game will die very quickly if it keeps going the way it is

He was drafted in the 6th round, that's how rigged the NFL is, they turned a 6th round pick into a hall of famer just so the Patriots could have a dynasty.

In all serious though anyone who believes that any major sporting competition is rigged is not thinking straight.
Ummm....Cochise meet roosters salary cap. Also sy hi to NRL draw scheduling.

Anyway we have been through this a million times, but the game will die very quickly if it keeps going the way it is
I don't mind the idea of a point system, there would be a lot of questions to be answered before it could ever be implemented though, but that is not really the point of this discussion. The salary cap was put forward as an example of the NRL rigging the competition and that is just not true.

lol Do you know how rigged a lot of supporters think the NFL is.

Got to be rigged. Nothing to do with TB12
