Big Ava went well - had some mongrel in everything he did.
Love that he got the season's first try, a good one too.

I didn't realise how big MCK is. He is a monster and also has decent pace and skill. He is also very solid in defence. I don't know why he didn't play more in 2016. Let's hope he is somewhere in the 17 every week this season

I don't think MCK was in the top 25 last year, so taylor's hands were tied in terms of second tier salary cap. It would be good to see more of MCK in first grade this year.
Year of last finals appearance:
2017 - Storm, Roosters, Broncos, Eels, Sharks, Sea Eagles, Panthers, Cowboys
2016 - Raiders, Bulldogs, Titans
2015 - Rabbitohs, Dragons
2013 - Knights
2011 - Tigers, Warriors

I didn't see any of the first half, but I thought Sue was easily the best forward on the ground in the second 40, and T.Grant ran hard and made good metres. Very impressive first 20 minutes of the second half.

On Fox they commented that they'd been told he was nearly as quick as Teddy over 40m.

Based on that display as well as the glimpses least year, I'd like to see him in the run-on for the rest of the season. Either side. Did some dirty work very effectively too.

Anyone who is in the same ballpark as Tedesco in terms of speed is extremely fast.

Brooks played well and put his shoulder into the tackles. I thought he and Moses ran the side well and his kicking game was great with repeat sets gained which has been an issue in previous seasons.

JLJ was great and played in the middle as Hooker which is why he would be doing 31 tackles I am looking forward to next week to see if we have improved as they will be smarting from today's result

Every 7 in the game would have similar stats. They are targeted in the defensive line and slowing the player down enough for the 2nd and 3rd man to finish the job is sometimes enough.
