124 - 18 at home

Post by happy tiger » Mon 13 Mar, 2017 12:28 am

We just got beaten 124 -18 over three grades at home

Bet people will be just rushing out to get tickets to our next home game

The club must be looking at those figures and think where to start , not if anyone deserves to get called up from the lower grades

I don't consider Cambelltown a real home ground. It's a token gesture.
ANZ just pays the bills.

West tigers don't have a spiritual home.
Leichhardt is only special to the Balmain side of the JV.

I came from the Balmain side of the JV but I loved getting out to Cambo when I lived in Aus. It's safe to say that Cambo is a fine home ground and the team lost because they payed crap, not because of where they played.

It was the White Jersey....
Wests Tigers don't need a Coach.. The playing group has taken over..

Maybe the board should look in the mirror rather than at the players. Just sayin'.

Wasn't that meant to be our away jersey anyway

It was a horrible day out there tbh, which is a shame because the club did a good job with all the off field stuff imo.
All three grades looked hopelessly outclassed.

We have no home ground as Wests Tigers. No spiritual home.
The old home grounds only hold special place for the fans of corresponding side of the jv.
We need somewhere to call home and play all our home games at.
Not sprinkled over 3 or 4 grounds throughout the season.

I felt 12,000-odd after last week, on a nice sunny Sunday, was a fairly disappointing crowd.

It was a disappointing crowd and but I think the lack of Panthers fans was a contributing factor. Apart from Parra stadium (or where ever they play now), Campbelltown should be the next closest venue for the Panthers fans?

Having said that though, in the mortgage belt of greater C'town and the areas of socio-economic disadvantage that surround the area, 124 - 18 is not going to help for the next time there. Which is a shame because it has the potential to be a "cauldron" for the Tigers but for some reason, the locals have not bought into it.

Give Tedesco $2Mil a season, make him captain/coach and give him full charge of our recruitment.
He's that brilliant he's probably great at those other roles too.

It was something Pascoe said he was going to sort out. I can only hope he's working out a deal with Homebush or the new Parramatta stadium.
