Ava should have been the first signing. He is as impressive speaking as he is playing. Quietly spoken but if Woods leaves, to me he is the obvious choice as captain.

I have big wraps for Ava. His game has improved markedly. Very impressed with his progress.

Every club needs an Ava - good with injuries, does most things right, very few errors, does not take up huge chunks of salary cap.

Just saw him interviewed after the game. He speaks well.

Both need to be retained asap

Ava is the only forward we should entertain keeping who is not on contract for next year. If Woods goes so be it. And I would offer the young hooker another year.

He has been in most of my top 3 players for the whole season, he is such a good player and wouldn't be too expensive

Good player on the field, all class off the field. One of the most articulate and classy guys in the NRL.

Goes about his business quietly and is playing well. Defensively he's also very sound. Definitely worth keeping.

Captain material. As previously stated by a number of posters, he is articulate, softly spoken but when he does speak, you listen.
