CHN was the forward to get from the Panthers. Matterson softened the blow of missing him though. Still feel we need a backrower with some aggression though.
Prefer Matterson myself.

Couldn't care less about CHN - overated imo.

Who misses out? Aiken, Lafai, Mann, Rapira or McDonald?

McDonald may be going to the Cowboys. Dragons also have Herbert, Garrick, Marsters, and Johns

no way, he will play ISP and have to wait his chance, he could be playing 1st grade with us.

Tigers should sign Patrick Mago from the Broncos. He’s a beast of a bench prop.

The dragons believe that he is the best centre they have had since Gasnier retired. If he had not made first grade this year many clubs were a chance of getting him if they promised him a first grade position.Sadly Mary selected him with about 4 games to go, the opportunity has gone .

I totally agree and also should have a look at Patrick Carrigan and Thomas Flegler, the Broncos can't keep them all. One from the storm Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, 18/19 yrs old 197cm and 107 kg one for the little black book.

Just signed a new contract unfortunately.

He is a real centre - not a pretender.

Looks settled in with the Dragons - bad luck for us.

Feki would be an amazing get. Him and nofa would go great guns for us.

A fit Merrin at the right price would be okay. He’s had too much drama at the panthers and I reckon a new club might do him good.
How soon we forget Cory Thompson's efforts this year..
What an album ,arguably the greatest Australian rock album ever

Anyway I thought he would have turned his form all around once Moylan had left and wasn't messing around with Sally ............
Diesel and dust is my fav Oils record.
As for best aussie album go check out Dallas Crane self titled album.
It’s up there.
Oh yeah back to the topic, no to Merrin, I don’t have any distinct reasons just don’t think he adds much to a forward pack these days.

It can't have been easy for him especially with most of your team mates being aware and you aren't. A fresh start at a new club would do him the world of good.
Merrin is fat and lazy and acts like the fat little fat outcast kid in the class who will do anything just to fit it with “ the boys”....
Awesome description of him
We might be interested in Merrin but Merrin isn't interested in us. He will end up at the Knights. We could end up with Tamou though...
That would be better for us. Don't need Merrin, we need a strong, young, aggressive backrower/lock. Tamou on the other hand would be great in our prop rotation - experienced, big body and still playing well. Make it happen Wests Tigers!

Just checked lafais contract situation.
Him, Aitken and Lomax 2020.
McDonald 2019
J Periara, Patrick Herbert off contract.
Could be some depth in those 2.

Merrin has always had that build coming through the juniors and managed to play SOO with it. He has been through a very tough time off field and most would empathise with him. We have always been a club accepting of players wanting a new start and Merrin to me would bring a lot with him to our team. If he comes, I would be pleased.
Tired of people thinking they know what a footballer is like as a person ("just trying to fit in with the boys") because they watch football games.
Yeah I was thinking the same Jirskyr. Comment was very personal, I wonder if the poster actually knows him?
