The rest of the season

Post by Go You Good Things » Wed 11 Apr, 2018 12:38 pm

After what we thought was going to be a difficult start to the year, I had a quick look at the rest of our draw.
I don't know if we have become too cocky, but the rest of our season has got a Parra 2017 feel about it.
Long time to go and all that, but I seriously think we are over the worst of it . . . . and have come out the other side looking pretty good so far.

We only need 3 more wins to match last seasons record.

Lets not set ourselves up for a fall.

There all easy to win - until you have to play them.

I'm taking one game at a time.

100% it’s a long season and on current form they’re all winnable but a lot can change. Get the job done against manly and think about who’s next.

Marty can't run at Moses this time. We got this.

Injuries in NRL play a major part how teams fairs in the season. Already we have had Reynolds, Liddle, Taylor and Packer lose games with injuries.

Without Sharon and Teddy we should no State of Origin players which is a bonus.

We may lose some Kiwis for the one off test against England in the USA.

There are no NRL games that weekend of the Test
The NZ France test is sat June 23, and Origin II is Sunday June 24

Yep all winnable... But a tough 5 rounds. I would expect 3/5 maybe 1/5 if we are travelling badly.

it'll all depend on injuries, we have more depth now than previous years but my concern is in the squads cohesion playing togeather when there are people constantly coming and going when injuries strike

They said we have a hard draw...
We got through a lot of the hard stuff already so hopefully a few easy wins for us over the next few weeks.

I'm worried about The Bye.

Not this year. The Bye will be a Barbie at Ivan's. He's got this. Prep the salads early but don't put the dressing on. Make sure the BBQ is really hot then turn it down slightly.. chill the esky's first before putting drink and ice in. Work out your music play list the day before.
Taylor butchered the bye last year.

2016
Round 20- We beat Dragons 25-12 at ANZ (Benjis 250th from memory)
Round 21- We beat Parra at ANZ 23-8
Round 22- We beat Cowboys at Leichhardt 26-14

But I think it’s two or even three years before the previous time

For the Kiwi test they will take Matt's Packer Benji Esan Lolo Taylor MWZ if the Tigers are playing good hard footy when they pick the team and they will take a squad of 21-23 players
