Obviously no chance of this happening, but the one player we need who will lift this team is Brandon Smith. Whether it’s at hooker or lock, we need his strong defensive work in the middle and aggressive running. The way he impacts a game and shifts the momentum is up with the very best of players in this league. Just feel our hooker and lock position is a weakness, and it kills us both defensively and in attack, getting Brandon Smith would fix so much with this club.
Plenty of other good useful players there, but I think Smith is one who could instantly make us decent.
Run by dopes up there
and Deputy Chuckles
Perhaps the Qld Government has learnt from NSW’s disastrous handling of the current outbreak. We’re looking at a few more months in lockdown at least due to the government’s failure to get the virus under control by adopting a go hard, go early approach.
they don’t shut down eagle farm races though
So un Australian to want the races shut down.
Thank goodness for the great Australians running the state.
I punt mate
double standards from dopes
either shut it down or don’t
Being a mug punter isn’t an expert qualification.
I could explain to you the many ways that the racing industry that employs tens of thousands of people is a special case, but I doubt you care.
Also, how do I buy another pinball machine at tonight’s Lloyds auctions if they take away my income?
You know they’re racing in Sydney today right?
I’ll look forward to your Gladys rant.
also the races today are at randwick champ not in the 8 lga lockdown sites hence going ahead
Oh the irony that you are praising the event being run in the more open Eastern Suburbs of Sydney that if shut down appropriately would have us not having this conversation at all.
You know, unlike the states that successfully got rid of the Delta strain and this delaying of footy one will probably join them. What was that name again chairman or dictator something, hmmmm.
You have no shame.
Chairman Dan and the poor dead from the hotel quarantine debacle last year, condolences to the families
Gold standard incompetence
Yeah, fancy letting the hotel manager go home at night, then once he was known to be infected and the virus out, trying to isolate buildings and then suburbs. The hide of him to then learn from those mistakes to become the only, yes the only comparable one in the world to eliminate the virus, only to create another first with the Delta strain and after our failure in NSW have to do it all again without a single death in Victoria’s state aged care. Yes, not a single one.
Meanwhile, to bring it back to your earlier name calling, I must let you know that one of the guys along with our PM that is responsible for most of the carnage in our nation having the world’s highest covid death rates in aged care, namely Richard Colbeck, flew to Japan as well. But hey, that’s okay, he’s not the state Premier.
I will leave it at that as the Lockdown In SE QLD will ensure no repeat.
keep defending Chairman Dan he can do no wrong and Anna jumped the Pfizer que for Japan all good nothing to see here
You realise the Federal (Liberal) Sport Minister Richard Colbeck went to Tokyo too yeah?
don’t think Colbeck jumped the Pfizer que though to go could be wrong on that but pretty sure he had AZ
Plus Anna was meant to just do the final bid and surprise went to the ceremony too
onya Anna well played and well planned through Coates
Yeah so if you’re criticism is of her going, surely you should be equally critical of him, yeah?
she also said she was not going to the ceremony either then she conveniently was told she had to
At the time she got the Pfizer so she could go when other premiers took AZ.
Add to that the flip flop of cancelling certain sporting events today and not others
Yeah. So no criticisms. Stay partisan mate.
She has had some medical issues in the past …maybe she was advised to have Pfizer …
I though she went Pfizer to allow her time to have her second dose before she went to Japan.
I’m not sure …but I know she has had medical issues …she would have known for months she had to go and help promote the 2032 bid
Don’t worry all the pollies most likely had placebos anyway.
Construction recommenced today Thursday 29/7/2021 after a short snap halt due to Covid19 lockdowns in Sydney. To help mitigate risk the stadium has been divided into sections and workers will now need to QR into and out of each section.
Estimates indicate that the lockdown has caused a two month delay in completion. Some are hopeful that can be clawed back, others are doubtful.
A percentage of workers live in LGAs that forbid travel and so the workforce has been reduced as a result.
There opening up working hrs on sites in Sydney including Sundays until Xmas they will make that up weather usually is the major issue with these sites.
He got Reece Walsh to the warriors, turned the panthers around. That’s a massive scoop for the bulldogs
Yeah even if it the perception that Gould is or isn’t successful …Gould’s name alone will help them …helps with them getting back to becoming the Family Club as they claim
Maybe. It seems odd they’d do this after buying up everyone on the market. I doubt TPJ or Dale F give a flying fig about Gus or Tim Sheens.
They do if it helps attract better players …that helps them become a more attractive club
The question is, do they? Long-term we’re probably better placed with some like Tahu on our books than Gus or Timbo. The Dogs signed a lot of players before Gould came on board.
Have they got teh right players though …
When Gould was at Penrith he saw what the problem was at in 2018 for 2019 …they basically only needed a hooker …and then grabbed best one on the market …
He obviously ruffled some feathers at Penrith though, in the end they decided to take on Ivan and get rid of Gus.
Gus is like that …he ruffles everyone’s feather’s …most people like that do …
Agree. He will ruffle feathers to achieve success, something we have lacked because the people in higher powers are more worried about protecting their jobs. . The junior development at the panthers is all him. He will do that at the bulldogs and sell the dream to promising juniors and their families. I hope sheens can do that here.
What worries me about Sheens , when he tried to put his foot down at the WT’s …it got eaten off by the senior players
The main agitators are gone. To me the last remaining senior players who could cause drama are Nofa, brooks and mbye. If these guys are still agitating behind the scenes then I’m happy for all of them to be moved on.
I’d be really surprised if Brooks is an agitator. He tries his butt off every week.
I cant see it either as Brooks being an agitator. Brooks cant even open his mouth on the field to set up plays let alone agitate off the field.
Brooks has improved throughout this year.
Feel like he’s buying into what Madges trying to build.
Appears to be one of a few that actually tries each week… maybe his ability let’s him down but it’s not his heart.
I think we all know who really are the sooks… as displayed on field (and on twitter)
I hear ya brother , but its one thing to play well as a player and its another to lead your team around as a leader. He is one of our senior players in our squad and hasnt shown that in a long time.
This attitude , is absolutely ridiculous and I’ve never understood it . You know who’s at fault for us losing ? (In reference to the players) The person in the mirror . It’s not up to someone else to tell you to do your god damn job. Your hand doesn’t need to be held to chase someone down , dive on a ball , put a hit on , charge down a kick, make an effort play . Put your head where you shouldn’t ever put any part of you.
The sooner the fans , and most importantly the players , get this through their head , the sooner we start winning . Because , what I just said , is a pre requisite to being offered a storm contract. And if your not that player , eg Matt Lodge , you’re shifted off to places like the west’s tigers , as soon as that’s figured out .
Good to be reading your posts again @Strongee 👍
Pleased your back.
How ironic that the 3 most under pressure clubs from Sydney are relocated to the very location where the NRL wants a 17th team?
Coincidence? I tend to think not.
You reckon ?
Just tend to think it will be a chance to test out the reception of either of those sides without actually having to do it.
We have support in Queensland.
Sharks and Dragons are coast teams. Why did they go to the suburbs where Western heartland teams, Penrith, Eels and Bulldogs go to the beach.
