@TigerTiger said in Your Wests Tigers Player Of the Year!:
@Geo he was the better player all year throughout the season, no question there for mine. But considering this latest information about him wanting to leave, he loses that honour in my eyes. He did play better, but now he’s disqualified.
As should be DJR Penske the low down dirty rotten scoundrels
I’ll add this for discussion and a laugh :
Can’t say much at the moment but Wests Tigers/Magpies are about to get bent over big time. Story to follow.

Gold Coast happy to release arguably their 2 best players…and keep Bryce Cartwright…cool…they suck more than us…
The comment was about what is acceptable …Players shouldn’t be released and honour their contracts ie Matterson v happy to accept a player/s who are being asked to do the same…so never mind…

I was talking about this today with JRs mum and she was under the belief that matulino has been medically retired…has there been anything official from the club
Would be strange for the club not to keep us informed!
Might need to wait for the next Q&A for some info…
Special guest Ivan - to explain himself.

Because Clarke was taken…
Clark was taken not Clarke
with our team it would’ve been Clark Griswold…
I would’ve thought Talau got first crack at the position…
@crazycat said in Should our "big 5" offer to take pay cuts?:
People forget how desperate we were. We just had 3 of the big 4 walk after our entire team was geared around them. Reynolds was still a decent 5/8, solid defender and former blue. Do people remember we had next to no one signed when Cleary and co took over?
Everyone says punt Reynolds, fair enough. But we are saying this with Marshall rejoining our squad. Reynolds was the right call at the time and he just had way too many injuries. We could have made a long shot call for Maloney or Cronk, but we had Reynolds name on the contract.
It’s the Mbye signing that mystifies me.
I see what you mean, but I new at the exact second we signed him that we had paid massive overs. He is a solid player, but never close to that coin.

Well the club pulled my current membership so I guess I’m out.
I had to redo my membership Package as it doesn’t exist heading into 2020 season, easily enough to negotiate just sign into your WTs account and choose the new one…You also get the opportunity to remove the tick for the automatic roll over for future membership if you don’t want it.

Not for me.
The tigers and NRL are thouroughly in inspiring.
The 3rd party deal rorting by the big clubs is not being addressed by the politicians in the top job.
I’m not watching the GF
Agreed, I’m so uninspired this season, my decision to cook up a BBQ was made at around 3 minutes prior to kick off. So I missed the first 20 minutes of the game. But I’m on board now, although kind of disinterested. Go raiders. Where’s my wine?
Nice fellas im curious as to whether any sanctions are in place around Pascoe. I thought he and go were great however since his return he has seems to have lost alot of the confidence and bravado i was enjoying.
Marsters was below par in 2019 with the ankle injury, and I can understand the levels of frustration amongst supporters.
However when fully fit he has many attributes that make him difficult to handle in defence, a big body, powerful, footwork, strong fend, good hands, accurate flick pass, late offload. Both Marsters and Nofoaluma are very good at the late offload, and they’ve done so with three defenders wrestling them, without knowing the figures I imagine their accuracy percentage would very high at executing it, and second phase play certainly creates attacking opportunities, and opportunities to advance the ball down field when working out of our own end.
Marsters is a definite keeper in my opinion at this stage, and I’d be sticking with him solely as a centre. He’s looked reasonably comfortable playing both left and right edges which is an advantage for the team having that flexibility. When fully fit again I’d like to see him supplied with a bit more early ball, so he can line up and trouble a defender. And there’s also that try burned into my brain when he burst onto a short no-look Marshall pass to score a try that was an awesome sight behold, more of that full-steam straight running too please!!
It’ll be interesting to gage during the preseason which side of the field Madge will be working with Marsters - Brooky’s or Benji’s…? Marsters looked great on occasions when running straight and hard off Benji, but Madge shifted him to left centre at the back end of the season and that could well be worth persisting with considering the success with the Brooks/Garner combo. Not a bad option for Brooks to go out the back to Marsters or hit him with a face ball, as an alternative to the short pass to Garner.
My gut feeling just at the moment is Marsters will stay at left centre, Momirovski right centre with Tommy Talau next in-line as the third centre option.
I’m starting to think Mbye will shift to hooking duties and share that role with Reynolds next season. Considering their senior status and the money they are on they’ll both need to roll up the sleeves next season to make a contribution more befitting of their big salaries. Neither has built up the capital (consistent performances and influences on results) to feel any strong entitlement to play in their favoured positions and roles within the side at this point in time, and therefore they should embrace any role Madge wants them to play that’s best for the team. Those two sharing the hooking duties could be just the threat and footballing smarts we need out of dummy half for next season.
Anyways, that’s my considered fluff piece at this point in time with our roster as it currently stands, as my thoughts can shift and change with player moments and other info when it comes to light - or even those enlightening pearls of wisdom from fellow forumers.

So I need to live until I’m 110 for our next premiership …I won’t even remember who I support if I last that long
At least I have a better chance than Geo …you’ll be 135 by then …and you ain’t Steve Smith lol
