EVERY WEEK A MUST WIN SAYS FARAH

Wests Tigers Captain Robbie Farah says every week is a must win for Wests Tigers as they prepare to take on the Raiders this Sunday in Canberra.
Robbie also spoke about the battle between the two forward packs and playing against good friend Bronson Harrison.
WATCH ROBBIE FARAH NOW ON WTV
It’s not the best piece of literature but it provides a good in depth perspective of the club. Things that are never reported in the paper and thoughts from players we never get to hear. Im liking it so far
Pretty sure you’d get:
120 Ellis, Gareth
121 Mataka, William
122 Ayshford, Blake
123 Schirnack, Alan
124 Dwyer, Simon
The Wests Tigers Book “Forever Brothers” has the ‘Honour Roll’ at the back and has that list in that order (bar Simon Dwyer cause he debuted after print)
is it a good read ,Alex?..…meant to buy one after the Cowboy’s match and forgot
It’s not too bad. I’m about half way through so far. It’s basically like a huge editorial/newspaper article. But it focuses on so much more than you’d ever read in the paper. They spoke a bit about the merger and the early years of the Tigers.
For 2005, they focus on every facet of the club. Chapter on Sheens, one on finance and sponsorship, another on juniors etc. Then there’s a chapter on the second half of 2005 from the Broncos game, through the 8match streak and up to the finals, then they have a detailed discussion on the game against the Dragons.
Lots of good quotes and discussion from players and provides great input into the minds of the players through the season and most importantly leading up to the GF.
Would definitely recommend it.
I’m looking at the Stats for the Tigers 2009 and some of the top tacklers are surprising.
The Rest under 100
Just wondering what offers better ‘value for money’- Heighington or say Ben Ross
Ben Ross hasn’t been very good value for money the last few years.
Perish the thought of him in a WT jersey, we got rid of our 2 years holiday prop didn’t we? You want another?
Obviously not my son.
Watts attacking Farah was gutless, the fight after that was consensual (at least form Farah’s point of view) and the ref knew it was on. The ref dealt with that fight on the spot and that should have been the end of it. As for Watt’s cheap shots though……
I thought it was to do with Beau Ryan’s obsessive compulsive disorder, the players are always touching things because they know he then has too and the thing in the tunnel came from that. For example, KG used to jump up and hit the crossbar and everyone would laugh at Beau trying to touch it too, but he had to do it because thats what the disorder does to do.
How about everyone touches the football over the tryline then……
Gower is not a prop. He is just forced to play there through lack of option.
Schirnack would be my pick. He is built in the no nonsense tough style of Skandalis and can grind a game if need be.
Woods still has a year of 20’s available to him as well I think
Still has 2 years of 20’s smeg.
I recon ,in terms of value for money, the tigs offer acceptional value for money. Reguardless of their position on the ladder they make an awful lot of TV appearances and their community image is first class. Also their crowd numbers are excellent. Lets face it who wouldn’t want their logo associated with this brand.
Tame Tupou HAS to replace him, he hasn’t proved anything this year……definitely a nervous wait for him
The hands of Tame can be extremely suspect as can his positioning and his fielding of kicks.
Don’t tell me you think Ryan should retain his position
I would prefer Daniella there opposite Tuiaki with Lawrence and Ayshford inside them.
Midway through last season i wanted Sheens gone, there we’re some bad signs in our football. By round 6 this year I’d had enough, we were getting worse imo. However, to Sheens’s credit he’s rectified a lot of my concerns and we’re not playing too badly lately, Just finding ways to shoot ourselves in the foot. As it stands though, If we miss the finals again, the club will need to take a good look at operations. Personally i’m not against Sheens staying on as i still believe he’s got things to offer here but the club should at least consider it’s options i believe. 4 years out of the finals and only one in 6 seasons for Sheens is not a good look.
