Kelma Tuilagi Signs With Manly

Shame he has signed with Manly. Must have liked our temporary demountable buildings so much he wanted to see them at Narabeen.

Hope we go in strong for either of the NQ boys and get one early.

Kelma is a big loss. But Manly offer was way above dollars wise then the club was prepared to offer & also added an extra year.
Blore’s scans have confirmed an ACL injury so his season is over.
The young backrowers Nanai & Luki won’t be joining the club.
Nanai has indicated he wants to remain in QLD with Dolphins & Cowboys playing tug of war.
Knights offer is massive & not worth the trouble, if he leaves QLD it will be the Knights.
Our development players are all edge players & the club has belief in its junior stocks for this position, they will look for a semi experienced back rower to support Papalli in 2023 but believe Blore is a long term option (pending his return from Injury)

Any other news or is it all quiet?

And why has no one questioned this rumour? It seems highly unlikely they he would want to sign a contract now, he's played a handful of games, with Blore out he could get big minutes and Double or even triple his value.

Manly have Schuster, Ola'kuatau and the youngest Trbojevic brother as young and talented beech rowers for the next several seasons, where exactly does he think he's going to play?

And with our second row stocks so low if he had a half decent start to the year he'd likely get a 2 year deal.

None of this adds up and comes across as a rumour to engage a bored fanbase
Schuster will end up in the halves and he probably just wants to secure his future if he has signed a new deal

A shame. We need to sign a back rower or two. We have no back row prospects capable of playing NRL this season and probably next season too. They're all 18-19 or so and haven't even played Flegg yet.

Given we have no internal candidates to replace Blore the only option is to invest in a raw player who's leaving next season. Which is a waste of resources unless we can bring in someone now. Which surely we must

That is really poor news.
Betting on youth in our situation is too risky.

Any names specially in the juniors they think can cover.

I'd be pretty panicked If I was them. Luchiano off to cows. Garner goes okay. They'd been kelma at 13. Who else is there? Looks like the luch gamble backfired.

We have papali but this and next year options look short.

God help us all if blore the back up option

Blore is done mate.
Id cut him loose.

Development deals all second row

Apisalome Saukuru - didn't he get inured?

Tumeth - is he ready?

O'kane - is he ready?

Very risky relying on 19 and 20 year olds to play first grade every week, especially in '23 where we will be making a big push to finals

I'd think we would sign someone to play second row for then, can't see us just hoping the dev players get it done

Not much out there I think.
