LIVE GAME Trial 2 V Roosters..

Live Game Discussion
It was actually the most aggressive they have defended in a long time.. some obvious lapse’s

Just a trial and just like attack defence needs time together to build combinations And understanding..forwards especially hit with intent..

Long may it continue..
Yes, I liked the way they all responded positively to the little setbacks, the dropped balls etc, with more resolve and determination. Did not see that last year.

Good improvements in a lot of areas but lets keep it real. The Roosters had half their side out and were ordinary. Great to see our defense is improving though with some aggression and intent finally . Shout out to Dias and Rua who both are near on playing there way into the team (if allowed). I personally think there is more upside to Rua than Simpkin and Dias offers more than Tamou. Bring on Melbourne.

Been in our system since he was 14, he's a Tiger through and through. Need to hold onto him!
I just hope that Sheens and Madge see in Rua the same as what everyone here seen, and they sign him up ASAP.
Before he gets offers from other clubs (I hope Pascoe isn’t going on holidays) and we end up with another JAC fiasco.

I thought Jame Roberts & Oliver Gildart were both solid last night hopefully they continue that form They both have lots of speed which we need. Gildart has to improve his defence but attack wise he has plenty to offer & Roberts was pretty good last night defensively & looked dangerous when he had the ball I know it was only a trial but hopefully they both prove some people wrong on this forum.

It was a good hit out! Nice to get a win, can’t take to much from a trial game and wouldn’t read too much into the later part of the game. Defence was better.
rReading through this and a couple of other threads I would suggest that there is a significant amount of confirmation bias taking place.

Agree mate, madge seems way more relaxed
Maybe Madge has some very good help around him finally....In Madges defense, since coming here he has had to deal with a plethora of problems to sort as well as coach an ordinary squad..he could be showing signs of regaining some confidence in his coaching, and we do know he can coach with the right cattle..

They rewarded his form from the first trial by letting him play in the second and he once again impressed, you'd think they get something sorted out

He will be on the radar of other clubs now though - we have Api coming in '23 and Simpkin contracted until '24 so he might see opportunity elsewhere

Was just saying the same.

The forwards played the best they ever have under Madge.

Jimmy Roberts was also safe, focused.

Biggest issue for mine was Nofo.
Still extremely below standard with incredibly poor hands and decision making.

The big red try setup by Jackson shaping a kick first, so instinctive & natural. I just don't see this in Brooks & i'm not a hater. I know its only a trial but this is Jackson overseas, leader always involved, demands the ball. It's hard to see him not in the halves or a ball playing lock at the least like Radley last night.

There was a bit of the old (in a good way) Tigers. Win the game early, score the points later. More composure, more trust in D. Mental adjustments we needed to make. We have now seen a plan at least and need to deliver in a fortnight and beyond.

He's a Tigers junior.

Good article here :

Played for the Campbelltown City Kangaroos...

Played union and league.
Does mention the doggys are his fav team tho.
A natural leader too from a young age. I'm also more excited with this prospect.
