LIVE GAME Trial 2 V Roosters..

Live Game Discussion
He’s the only one who gets shit canned every week.
He certainly is not, he just cops a lot of criticism because he's meant to be the main man and he's underperformed for so long

Nofa cops it just about every week, Tamou copped plenty last year and pretty much anyone who had a stinker

Sorry, I may have been a bit cryptic and too smart for my self with the comment that you are referring to.

I know what I was thinking at the time but sometimes it isn't expressed as well as you would like when you spit it out with the keyboard.

The comment I made was sort of an acknowledgement that our middle defense has stiffened up a bit but our edges are still open to all comers.
Haha all good mate.

Going to be a long season of Brooks bashing, reminds me of the Fitzy bashings all those years ago. Every game, every week. It’s the same old same old.

I agree he is no Cooper Cronk, but every week he gets smashed by supporters of this club. If you don’t think he is up to scratch, vent your anger at Madge who picks him.

After being a Balmain and now WestsTigers man for over fifty years, I can tell you Brooks is a gun compared to plenty of sevens we have tried over the years.

The Melbourne bloody Storm looked slick in the highlights package. Was Munster playing fullback? He looked quicker than ever in the open space, I was convinced that was Paps running on to the inside ball.

Have really enjoyed watching Melbourne Storm play in the last 3-4 years.

I personally don't care. There are always players from other clubs at matches, you see them all the time. You are allowed to support your mates and still be committed to your current club; I think fans are too sensitive about it.

Or more correctly, I think some fans are being naive about what a modern footballer is, often less of a clubman and more of a self-brand. Penrith in particular, such a big nursery, there are going to be lots of guys with long shared histories but playing for different NRL clubs.
True club men are a dying breed, mostly mercenaries these days for want of a better term.

4 TRIES, 7 TRY ASSISTS, 16 Goals 14 LB Assists 12, Line Breaks185 Run Metres, 16 Tackle busts, 13 Repeat sets, 895 Kick Metres 53 Tackles 0 Misses, 7 FG per game minimum..
If only we could get him interested.

If you need your entire team to do good to perform good, you probably suck. Every player in the league will look better if they're surrounded by quality

Good players can turn momentum with a good kicking game. Long kick into the in goal, a 40/20, stuff like that. Not just the same kick to the fullback on the chest
This.
See Brodie Croft. Looked good in a Melbourne winning team. Was dubbed the next Cronk. After giving him a proper crack at half where he ultimately proved sub-standard, they didn't waste too much time in moving him on.
Likewise when he went to Brisbane. They acted quickly too.
So whether it's in a team of champions or a team going through a rebuild, significant shortcomings of a halfback are invariably too great to overcome.
We should learn from the teams who have cultures of success. They might make some bad recruitment decisions (everyone does), but when they do they don't make excuses, they make changes.

We just played a solid game and beat a decent looking Roosters outfit and he’s getting his regular blows in the gonads
