Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Sorry random thought. A couple of years ago we had a young Aboriginal centre play in a trial games (something like Madison Johns or like that). He seemed to have right build and had a good games against seasoned NRL players. Always wonder what happened to him given Centre has been an issue over the years with WT.

They seem to clean out the State Cup side every year.

A host of NRL clubs are already circling members of Western Suburbs victorious Harold Matthews side. The Magpies won their first Harold Matthews title when they beat Cronulla last weekend. Already the likes of Luke and Kit Laulilii, Jordan Miller and Tallyn Da Silva have attracted interest from rival teams
This will be a good case on how our pathways system under Betsey is going. We need to keep these guys together so they build & develop that bond we see in the Panthers today.

I'm with you bro.

I know he's built a little following with his decent game the other day.

However he is not a well rounded fullback in my eyes.

Hoping he keeps improving and proves me wrong.
Played well last season champ, unless we got someone clearly better to sign or coming through, you keep him. Gave his all last season and showed that in 2 games prior to injury (only 2 games we actually won). His absence was so notable in our dead attack against the dragons.

Matheson Johns.

Don't think he was Aboriginal.

Pretty sure he quit footy and became a cop.

Surely we have Jordan Miller locked up .... Disgraceful if we don't

just have to hope our pathways are clear and hope they want to stay together, i hate saying this but like penrith and their crop did.

So we should give a guy who's battled off field issues all his career, and still is, to guide our indigenous players? We couldn't pick a worse player for that role. Not sure what happened to Tahu, but we need someone who's performed consistently well in the NRL for this role.
Also thought the same…
Wasn’t that long ago he was getting carried out of nightclubs passed out.

What are you talking about ?
Yea troubled upbringing kid who hates the world , is going to listen to a guy who wouldn’t know the first thing about overcoming your demons.

He’s literally the guy you want to reach them . Someone they can see has been through it . And has come out the other side .

Isn’t that good thing . It shows he’s fallible and that this shit isn’t a magic wand that can be sprinkled over it . It takes a commitment to every day , and an acknowledgment that your probably going to go backwards at some point .

From a development perspective both Dykes and Hopgood are very very good targets

Dykes a speedster creative fullback

Hopgood an offloading and tackling machine, that can also give you 150 meters a night

Happy with this…. just hope we can attract some proven solid first graders, hopefully we go all in on Tapine imo
That video seemed like he doesn’t mind a show and go . A little bit hoggish for lack of a better word
