Jimmy the Jet

The centres are the least of the problems. Would be good if we had someone who could break the line though.

I don't get the hate towards Roberts or the centres. We are getting smashed in the middle and that means instead of getting the opposition edge players peddling backwards they are coming up and smashing us.

Our middle forwards just aren't doing the job. Joe O should be excluded from these comments. He has been great all year.

Jimmy got no ball from the halves, that is where I would look first, see you later Brooks, Hastings you have been poor for 3 weeks, Doueihi starts at 6 and work from there
Thanks. Didn't watch the game but feel it's a little disgraceful that we still don't know to use him. Was doing well before his injury and getting more involved, so seems like the forwards and spine are letting us down a lot.
Hate that we still don't have a settled spine or depth in our forwards.

Exactly right it’s pathetic how people on this forum continue to attack JTJ who has been injured most of the year which is not his fault & in his first game back gets criticised by doing nothing wrong the same people continue to put him down he is not the reason why we are losing it’s our halves and forwards.

How about we throw out 2 year x 400k tender for 2 players and see who applies? At worst it could stuff up another clubs prospective recruitment.

Next time you get a chance watch Penrith play. Their outside backs do the work early in the set and then the James Fisher Harris and Yeo and company roll off the back. After 20 mins of this the other team are out on their feet and you can shift the ball to the swift footed players like Crichton and Taylan May. You need to build momentum and earn the right to give the ball to a Jimmy Roberts type. And That’s assuming he’s even fast anymore.

our backs were getting in there today doing some dirty work ,4 a change

It’s easy to say look at a club like Penrith, but if the things they do are that easy, every club would be doing it. Love them or hate them, they are a special group of players. Our dregs just can’t take notes and be better players because of it. They just aren’t capable.

I was just making the point you can’t just throw your centre the ball when you don’t have any time or space. If you don’t earn the right you can’t play footy. Pretty simple.

Yeah, but beside Ken M, they weren't effective at it. Other teams are just better than us defensively. We continually allow wingers to dominate these past couple years. They're running straight through our forwards. It's embarrassing. It's like Tigers aren't taught how to wrestle or slow the play the ball and everyone else is.

Are we the only team who try and use the smallest guys in our squad as battering rams, just out of pride if I was a forward I'd be too embarrassed to turn up to training, it's soft letting the centres and wingers take all the hit ups when was the last time we had a forward who consistently ran from the back fence?
