Wests Tigers Team v Eels

Adam Doueihi is privately gutted that he’s been portrayed as a big head for suggesting to Wests Tigers interim coach Brett Kimmorley to play five-eighth in NSW Cup instead of at centre in the NRL team.

Doueihi is only two games back from an ACL knee injury that he suffered last year and he has so far played both games off the bench.

He has now been selected in the centres for Saturday’s match against Parramatta with Luke Brooks remaining five-eighth and Jackson Hastings at halfback.

Doueihi made the point to Kimmorley in a private chat that he believed it would be in both his and the team’s best interests if he could get more game time in NSW Cup where he could play the full game at five-eighth instead of constantly switching between positions.

But that conversation somehow found its way into the media.

There is no suggestion Doueihi, who is off contract at the end of 2023, is angling for a release and wants out from the Tigers.

But it’s more than fair to say Doueihi is upset over the fallout, and that he has somehow been portrayed as arrogant and selfish.

While Doueihi is off contract at the end of next season, he has no intention of testing the market at this point.

But you can bet this latest drama will have clubs circling.

This is disgusting. The same “journalists” who painted AD out to be selfish a couple of days ago are now reporting the whole story & adding how gutted he feels because of their original garbage. The boys just need to fire up & belt the eels.

I have no information that management are too blame. I can't see how a CEO in Pascoe picks the team or recruits the players. Surely the board aren't doing this. It would be unbelievable ?

It's not that I care who is too blame. The issue is fixing it.

Is it lack of money as in Braith complaining about not getting Gatorade ?

Where are we going wrong ?

I think Cleary was a disaster. Sheens sacking Madge is a disaster but how many top clubs would retain a first grade coach with his results ?

To me it's simple. Get a good squad, Get a good coach. You are going to win games. The question to me is why don't we have a good squad ?

There has to be some details or facts to confirm this opinion.
I have no information that management are to blame either, other than circumstantial. Like sacking a perfectly good coach before having a better one (not just any one) in the pipeline. Like spinning through several coaches in succession and multiple players that all seem to get by and produce results just fine wherever they end up.

The forwards will need to lift their game with Ken out. He was about the only one making metres last week.
It will depend on what game plan they employ. If the forwards are two wide and they do four winger in hit ups most plays how are the forwards to make metres? Not excusing their their inability to influence the game most of the year; but they were cut out of the attack last week.

Agreed. It was a poor and frustrating tactic. Let the forwards do their job (or at least attempt to)!

I was hoping this would be the case with madge lovers but sadly no.
We were hoping the Madge haters would do the same but sadly no.
The only difference is Madge is gone - the turd remains, in fact has started to smell less like roses, in spite of the Madge haters insistence he was the main issue.
