This will open another roster spot for the year that needs to be filled this week.
IMO I think they let Nofo go and will bring in Stains and say its to cover him to ease pressure off Daine L.
We will find out pretty soon.

nofo and lucy leaving early this year, allows us to front-load some of brooks back ended contract. This is a win for the club as this season is going nowhere. Maybe nofo learns a thing or two and comes back a better player, who knows. There is no downside to this loan and it is good to make friends in rugby league.

Haven't hears Sheens mention Simpkins name once....
He's been talking Api and the Hooker from Wests Matts...
If Simpkin can't see the writing on the wall yet - He will soon... Howled down months ago when I suggested that he might be up for sale - Now very much a reality.

Api will only be 32-33 at the end of his contract with us... Still may have a year or 2 left in him as well as the young fella coming through....

The beginning of each year a club is allowed a squad of 30 players, during the year tiger's have had i think roughly 10 players unavailable due to injuries, did any club give a dam about loaning us a player, it's called natural nutrition, every club does their best with 30 players for the year, we're about to get the wooden spoon, I don't want it proud tiger's are 1 of the clubs that never had it, sorry not a fan of the loan.

I think we returned the favour by giving them Momirovski. Melbourne had a decent hooker that year, and Grant would have been playing QLD cup.

There is a few reason I don't mind it TBH:
1 - This 100k could be put onto Brooks contract for this year which helps us spend more next year or if we are going to let him walk it will be easier to off load at a lower salary.
2 - we are not making finals so this give some younger guys a go and we might find a suprise player that stands out.
3 - if some rumours are true and Nofo's attitude is not good this might wake him up a little or show him how hard you need to work to make finals.

Bang on. That, with Mikaele's early release, would be somewhere in the vicinity of 250k that we have recouped that can be used to front load for next year.

So, even if Brooks is on the 1 mill for next year, he will effectively be on 750k now, if the club choose to go that way.

I've been extremely disappointed in him this year and I've been arguing we need a marquee fullback.

He has to get some consistency to his game but maybe he is the right guy for us.

Now Doueihi is more of my target. Since he has been here I think he has been our best player but this year all I see is flaws. He'll come good now.

The king Doueihi rant on here amazed me. Was it the backlash from the ante- Brooks bashers ? A nice guy, with a high estimation of himself, but in my mind an average footballer. Many wanting him captain, the saviour of our backline, etc, The AD fan club has been very quiet lately. I hope for the clubs sake that he attains the lofty heights others have seen. It;s just that i have never seen it.

I understand, How does a club in the top 8 miss out if they have injuries and are on a losing streak, you chose your squad beginning of the season natural nutrition top teams will always stay in finals, we save 100, 000 for nof, no marquee player wants to leave their club now to spend this year at tigers, the player we'll get is what no other club wants we're the very last resort.

Sorry just venting the truth, top teams will always be in the top 8 if this always happens.

Storm need a fullback, let's send Brooks down there so he can play finals at 5/8 while Munster can play Fullback.

Storm don't need to have Meaney at Fullback, and Brooks can get some big match experience. It's a win win 😄
