I'm hearing all is not well between Manly and talented utility Josh Schuster.

Schuster has been hailed as the next big thing at Brookvale for several years but you only had to look at his body language - and seven errors - against the Dragons last weekend to see something isn't right.

Schuster was promised the No.6 jersey a couple of years ago… but lost out to Kieran Foran, who Schuster was told would be moved to hooker.

Last weekend, even with regular hooker Lachlan Croker out, Foran kept the five-eighth spot and Schuster remained on the bench.

The big guy has talent but hasn't lived up to the hype and the Sea Eagles believe he is carrying too much weight, adding to the tension.

Don't be surprised if he is wearing another team's colours in 2023.

If Dessy can't get him firing I'm not sure Sheens/Benji can do much either. We also seem to have a number of 5/8s already, or blokes putting their hand up to play there, i.e. Brooks, Doeuhie, Laurie (if Staines signs as a FB). His 2021 form in the backrow has me wondering if Doeuhie (as another self proclaimed 5/8) might be an option there, next year when he's back to full fitness? He's certainly big enough and would have sensational ball-playing skills for that position.

Apparently he's been promised the 6 next year when Foran goes, but that's not the first time he's been promised something that didn't happen.

Fainu. Best 5/8 Prospect seen in many many years. Shuster won't last long at 6 with this kid coming through. No player has dominated junior levels like him.

Possibly if Hastings was to move on, Schuster could be that similar style ball playing & directional Lock which may interest him.

Even though Brooks had a great game against the Cowboys, if Schuster was to be picked up he'd have to be the one moved on. Everyone needs a fresh start.

The only way we'd be keeping all 3 playmakers is if we brain teams for the rest of the year.

Penrith Panthers already did it last year with Tevita Pangai Jr.

TPJ was already moving on at the end of the season.
Nofoaluma has another three years under contract at WT.

He's been talking Api and the Hooker from Wests Matts...
If Simpkin can't see the writing on the wall yet - He will soon... Howled down months ago when I suggested that he might be up for sale - Now very much a reality.

Api will only be 32-33 at the end of his contract with us... Still may have a year or 2 left in him as well as the young fella coming through....

To be honest... next year with Api he is likely to play 80mins or close to...
So i'd be focussing on Rua Ngatikaura as that hybrid hooker/middle forward role.

That wasn’t a loan though. He was already moving to Canterbury and had a pit stop at Penrith. I also didn’t agree with that but this is a loan (which we don’t have a system for in the NRL)

He's lazy because he's overweight. Exceptional talent.
Get him at the right price, get him fit and focused and he will be a star for us.
Under these conditions I'd sign him in a heartbeat.

Surely anyone that earns between $300,000 and over a season, and can,t keep their weight down in a proffesional sport is a dumnut. That attitude does not spell for a long career.

He might find out it's not all about him, Harder than it looks - And might get found out the same way he does with us.

Tallyn is 16. There's a lot of ifs, buts and coconuts between now and when he's even remotely close to being ready for first grade.
