Cover injuries?Surely this won't happen. I'm not sure we need Klemmer now other than to cover injuries which we will get.
I just worry about the cost.
we definitely need another front rower, potentially a back rower depending on the Kelma situation and a backup fullback. I'm not sold on Perham. Staines for mine would be the better option and would bring out the best in Daine breathing down his neck. gotta remember Staines hasn't had much time at fullback in the top grade, if you gave him a full preseason training at the back I think he'd light it up.Api Korisau, Isaiah Papali'i, David Klemmer, Hayze Perham (as our back-up backline utility - centre/fullback/5-8) would be good recruiting.
Possibly Charlie Staines but only if Nofa moves to Melbourne fulltime or Mamaulo retires early due to his knee (this is only guessing as he does seem to struggle with it at times).
Yeah I would think Staines would only be recruited for Wing and told he is 1st back-up to Laurie as fullback. Perham does has his deficiencies but is an attacking weapon and could provide an experienced low-cost backup to Douehi, our Centres, Wingers & even fullback.we definitely need another front rower, potentially a back rower depending on the Kelma situation and a backup fullback. Klemmer would be sensational, but Royce Hunt would be another I'd be looking at. as for back rowers, the market's pretty dry but someone like Matt Doorey, Jackson Topine or Jack Murchie would be a good shout.
He looked good against us....but to be fair, we must be the worst defensive team in NSW Cup. Would want to see a lot more before we went after him. Probably a reason he hasn't played NRL yet.Dane Aukafolau
If Kelma does go to Manly and our backrow stocks are reduced to Papali'i, Blore, Talau, Seyfarth & Tumeth/Kautoga/O'Kane, a Sheens/McDonnell type signing would be this guy who tore us a new one in NSW Cup on Saturday.
* Junior Kiwi centre in 2017 in the team featuring Papali'i, Talakai, Nikora, Luai, Harris-Tevita.
* Experienced at 25
* Big bodied hole-running backrower with an offload
* Fast as he caught up to Gildart when Oliver streeted away on Saturday
* Must have a good tank given his minutes in NSW Cup this season
* Has good attack & defence stats in NSW Cup this season - https://www.nswrl.com.au/players/nsw-cup/mounties/dane-aukafolau/
Is this guy a late bloomer? Anyone else got info on him?
You better run those figures past tragic mate.1 + 1 = 2
Quick maths.
Letsgooo 🔥
My gut feel says that we will probably get Staines. We need that fullback cover option if Daine goes down (not sold on To'a in that position). Would like to see Hunt and Topine or Doorey signed up.we definitely need another front rower, potentially a back rower depending on the Kelma situation and a backup fullback. I'm not sold on Perham. Yeah it annoys me when one player has a good game and everyone is doting on him. Look at the whole season and judge. He's been pretty ordinary all year.Pretty sure as recently as a couple of weeks ago the vast majority on here wanted Kelma punted, quoting his stats as terrible and saying Manly got shafted cos he’s not a First Grader
A positive for us over the last 5 rounds is Sheens/Benji/Robbie will get a good look at Laurie as our #1 fullback, T'oa & Kepaoa in the centres, Naden on the wing, Madden as our halfback, Tualagi, Musgrove & Seyfarth in both the middle & edge, basically all of our players who have a ? on their future as top 17 players.Yeah it annoys me when one player has a good game and everyone is doting on him. Look at the whole season and judge. He's been pretty ordinary all year.
It is still a big contract $2.3 mill for 3 years as we signed Isaiah Papalii onI am a dumb arse so please be gentle CG.
Does that mean if he accepts he will be earning 766k from now till the end of the 2025 season?
If that's the case it's not a huge contract is it?
I think that offering a contract at this price saves face and not insulting considering his average form.
He would get better offers elsewhere and most likely move on, everyone is a winner.
Or am I missing something? 🤔

I don't think the current team is developing losing ways. Nofa and Brooks, yes.Yeah, I hated when he said we’ll be a force in 2025.
Do I follow another team or stop watching footy between now and then?
Because I can see that we’ll get on a 2-3 winning streak at the start of the year then lose 10 again.. but then come back half way and beat a few, media has a joke about us, we lose the rest of the year.
But what happens this time is that no coach or board is sacked, but we can call it development.
Develop losing ways to stay losing.
WESTS TIGERS ARE ALWAYS IN A GAME
Yea brooks and nofo are the last from the old regimeI don't think the current team is developing losing ways. Nofa and Brooks, yes.
My understanding from his JF contacts is that he will be ready for pre-season and has been working very hard on his fitness whilst he recovers.@THE_POM mentioned a couple of months ago that Scolari was being considered for a Development contract.
I hope it's true because he's got talent to burn & can hit like a sledgehammer in defence which a lot of wingers can't do.
The only way he would have got outside Leilua would have been to jump the fence.Kelma should have been utilised running wide all season. It's only in the Cowboys and Broncos games we have seen how devastating he can be.
