Just read about Luke Garners charitable work on Tigers website. Decent human being.
Never really a huge fan of his ( only because I thought he had more to offer but didn’t always deliver)but respect all players who get involved in good work off the field.
Shows there’s more between their ears and that they have empathy for those who have drawbacks.

Why would you want to get rid of Stefano Demps.
We all waited holding our breath over last years off season, hoping he would extend. Since he did, he broke his hand and hasn't really had enough games to prove his worth???

I reckon that’s called coaching and coz we keep employing coaches we need to sack, players don’t improve their game here.

1st option, other Club pays full contract.
2nd option, we pay some % of contract.
3rd option, we release them & pay out their contract.

Unknown what contact the Club will offer for the uncontracted Tommy Talau & Henry O'Kane. Making an assumption both will remain in Top 30.

So with likely outgoings & incomings, that leaves us 1 roster spot until we offload any of the 7 contracted players.

Out of the 7, I think Jake Simpkin, Jacob Liddle & Oliver Gildart are highly probable. Hopefully an ESL team sees value in Peachey, Musgrave & Tuki Simpkins as I can't see an NRL team wanting them. I'm sure Sheens is on the phone to his mate Brett Hodgson at Hull KR.

So to finish, I can see 4 spots close to definitely being open for new signings or upgrades (Tumeth, Nu Brown, Freebairn). I believe Kautoga has a Dev deal so he won't be top 30.

Likely 2-3 more signings then from external to our Club (experienced backrower, experienced outside back). Then if Peachey offloaded, we'll aim for another back-up half/5-8. If Musgrove offloaded, another middle (i.e. Fifita).

Great post, if we add Brooks and Doueihi to that first list and we cover half, it still gives us almost 2 million to shop with for 2023 and after 2023 we’re covering around $500,000.

Agree with some of those but think Simpkins has been signed for next year and we will need a back up hooker. He may even learn something from API.

100% agree. If players can't see ,they are going to get better at a club it makes for a very unattractive choice.

No way. What we want 4 people vying for the halves? Or we punt Hastings? Hey I am up for Punting Doueihi or if Brooks gets a better offer we can let him go.

We don't want Ben Hunt here if the difference is him getting an extra 100k for retirement. Sadly we will be lumped with Brooks which will be worse and he will be played at 7 in the wrong position, doubt sheens will change this.

Really i want Laurie to move into the halves and out of Fullback so we can sign a true gun there. Ben Hunt just means we logjam our halves further.

was a part of this year's winning Wests Harold Matts side. brilliant hooker that gives decent service with a lethal running game. still quite young at 17 but will probably be on a development deal in 2024 before becoming part of the top 30 in 2025.

I'm wondering if we have given Tuki Simpkins enough game time to prove himself.
I agree that his stints in the NRL haven't been much chop but that was under Madge.
I'm wondering if Sheens could do something with him before he's dumped?

Benji has already started sacking non playing support staff.
I’m fine with the clean out as long as it’s not only an exercise in nepotism.

He's an Origin (Winner) Player....
Doueihi is costing us almost that, Brooks more than that - And Hastings probably that next out.
Especially with the cap going up and zero halves in the market (Or the comp)

Laurie won't ever make it as a 6, Never goes looking for the game....
He's come through at FB and barely making it there.
