Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Nah haven't watched any games.
I get where Ur coming from, I wanted finucane for the same reason. He's just coming for a cheque. I just don't see the value. Seems a typical tigers signing
Cameo 1 yr mate.
I woke up this morning and now I say "punt him"
Tomorrow I'll change my mind again 🤪

Would shit the bed if we signed Cam.
I can't see him leaving Melb tbh and if he did it would be for the fins, few fellow team mates there.
We need to give his future kids apartments and get his dog all the tail it needs.
Time to step up Shifty.

The only predictable thing about WT is it's unpredictability, a bit like the weather, one day we're hot and the next day we're cold.
It's time to sit back and watch it all unfold without getting stressed....now where did I put that bubble wrap 🤔

Something from left field:
Munster to Dolphins.
Doueihi to Storm.
Wests Tigers throw a fist full of cash at Mam.
Or as Clint says “A fist full of Dollars”.

Tigers’ shock $7m Munster play to blow NRL rivals away

You’ve got to hand it to the Wests Tigers for trying to think outside the square. In line to get the club’s first-ever wooden spoon, the Wests Tigers have hatched a plan to make an audacious play aimed at signing the NRL’s best player – Cameron Munster.

Yes, you read that correctly, the Tigers are going to try and throw their hat in the ring with the Queensland and Australian five-eighth.

The way we’ve heard it the Tigers are talking about making Munster a five-year, $7 million offer aimed at blowing the Melbourne Storm and the Dolphins out of the water.

Fresh off the back of being flogged by 70 by the Sydney Roosters, it’s clear the ailing club needs a circuit breaker signature.

Sure Api Korisau and possibly Isaiah Papali’i will arrive next year but the Tigers are going to need to get a hell of a lot busier in the open market to fix the current plight of the club.

Munster, 27, is precisely the type of key signing who could help stop the rot at Concord.

You can’t blame them for dreaming – remember the Tigers also sounded out Sydney Roosters captain James Tedesco recently – but the chances of it happening are in all likelihood Buckley’s and very little.

The Tigers virtually have an open cheque book to spend for 2024 with a host of top 30 players including Adam Doueihi, Luke Brooks, Jackson Hastings, Daine Laurie, Shawn Blore, Joe Ofahengaue, Alex Seyfarth and Tuki Simpkins all off contract.

Tigers incoming coach Tim Sheens has arguably the greatest challenge of his decorated rugby league career in trying to fix the bun fight that is Concord.

At least the club’s succession plan of Benji Marshall taking over as head coach in 2025 is guaranteed to give the Wests Tigers some pulling power in terms of current players who are off contract.

The last five-year deal the Tigers floated was to incoming Canterbury-Bankstown head coach Cameron Ciraldo.

The risk with this Munster play is it will end with a similar result.
Now that's the play to make .highly unlikely tho
