You nailed it .. if we take pencil dick off their hands then we will have learnt nothing!Yeh Def.
Sick of helping clubs out with their nuffies so they can keep the good ones.

Hmm.
Now that's the play to make .highly unlikely thoTigers’ shock $7m Munster play to blow NRL rivals away

You’ve got to hand it to the Wests Tigers for trying to think outside the square. In line to get the club’s first-ever wooden spoon, the Wests Tigers have hatched a plan to make an audacious play aimed at signing the NRL’s best player – Cameron Munster.
Yes, you read that correctly, the Tigers are going to try and throw their hat in the ring with the Queensland and Australian five-eighth.
The way we’ve heard it the Tigers are talking about making Munster a five-year, $7 million offer aimed at blowing the Melbourne Storm and the Dolphins out of the water.
Fresh off the back of being flogged by 70 by the Sydney Roosters, it’s clear the ailing club needs a circuit breaker signature.
Sure Api Korisau and possibly Isaiah Papali’i will arrive next year but the Tigers are going to need to get a hell of a lot busier in the open market to fix the current plight of the club.
Munster, 27, is precisely the type of key signing who could help stop the rot at Concord.
You can’t blame them for dreaming – remember the Tigers also sounded out Sydney Roosters captain James Tedesco recently – but the chances of it happening are in all likelihood Buckley’s and very little.
The Tigers virtually have an open cheque book to spend for 2024 with a host of top 30 players including Adam Doueihi, Luke Brooks, Jackson Hastings, Daine Laurie, Shawn Blore, Joe Ofahengaue, Alex Seyfarth and Tuki Simpkins all off contract.
Tigers incoming coach Tim Sheens has arguably the greatest challenge of his decorated rugby league career in trying to fix the bun fight that is Concord.
At least the club’s succession plan of Benji Marshall taking over as head coach in 2025 is guaranteed to give the Wests Tigers some pulling power in terms of current players who are off contract.
The last five-year deal the Tigers floated was to incoming Canterbury-Bankstown head coach Cameron Ciraldo.
The risk with this Munster play is it will end with a similar result.
Well there are basically 2 ways for the club to go;We are increasing our spending in our junior areas and we have just been advised that spending will increase in consecutive years. Also, we have increased our spending to retain the best of the U20s players. Everyone wants to get the pitchforks out for Pascoe but it seems the WTs are in a strong position to provide additional funding for these areas.
Sheens is a skin changer. Check the Covid thread, the proof is in there🤣On the day Melbourne played Brisbane in Brisbane?
Hmm.
Munster has been lured to Sydney by Dominic Perrottet to play Gomez in the remake of the iconic TV show ‘The Munsters - Dominic likes the idea of Munster blowing up bridges as the trains approach in a message to the union… and we thought Munster was excited to be partnering BrooksSheens and Benji did a runner and left the coffee bill with Cam, more to come
If we got him would it be for no 1 or 6 ?Now that's the play to make .highly unlikely tho
It won't matter how good the offer is even an extra mil over the other clubs he still won't come here. I think it's a big gamble to make the offer for him to refuse and yet again make ourselves look bad and have the media breathing down our necks,not to mention Anasta is his manager and will not be recommending us in any shape or form. I think Ben Hunt is a more realistic and achievable get and the club should go after him instead.Ya gotta be in it to win it!!!
Last Friday was the 19th. So you're correcting yourself and saying now that it wasn't last Friday.12th
It was when they were up here to play Pamfers. I got the week wrongLast Friday was the 19th. So you're correcting yourself and saying now that it wasn't last Friday.
Is that right?
I tend to agree but Ipap and Api don’t fit into either 1 or 2.Well there are basically 2 ways for the club to go;
1. Buy players nobody else really wants I.e. haven’t performed, over the hill etc or
2. Develop from within .
Looks like 2 is the way we are going, let’s pray those up and comers turn out as good as we are hoping.
I think it’s called playing the long game !
Not our preferred strategy coz we’ve been playing a long game for a very long time !
But that’s the clubs decision so what can we do except continue being loyal supporters and hope it is successful.
I think there may still be a couple of short term surprises.
I agree you with you I don't want the scraps of unsigned players for 2023Well there are basically 2 ways for the club to go;
