WESTS TIGERS CLEAN OUT

I always liked Luke Garner-always put in heart and soul, not a shirker, and he got a few tries for us along the way, I think he will be missed. Good Luck Luke !
Yeah Garner did have a crack. Liked him for that. Unfortunately he was to small for 2nd row and to big for centre.

I don't know why the captain doesn't pull out a player for doing dumb things. Everyone carries on like it's a bad thing. Paula was a part of the loss but he did make the stupid error. Someone needed to give him a gobful.

The allegedly repeated homophobic abuse towards several dragons players will probably see the offending player sitting out for a few weeks at least.

We need footy smarts. I think that is why Hastings looked so good for us.

We need more players but I think we can win a lot more games if we just started playing smart footy.
Absolutely.

Look, like I said, it's impossible to have a team of intelligent players. But if a team had 3 or 4, they'll get the dumb ones in the right position or even into a mindset to win at all cost.

But this team, for a long time has been thick as pigshit.

The only players I can see we have that are genuine first graders are Douihei, Brooks, Hastings, Ofahengaue, Twal, Utoikamanu, Maumalo, Nofoaluma, Pole, Naden, Laurie.
That’s 13 with Api and Papalli. We are really short even when at full strength not winning games with this squad.

We need 4 starters added to this team and tbh if we are being fair dinkum you would need 4 origin players to make much difference.
Even your list is wrong

Laurie ... what are you people seeing!?

Utoikamanu, good last year and abysmal this year.

Nofo... yeah, at Melbourne.

Was it ever established why Sheens has waited until next season to take over the coaching? Looks like the goal is to collect the spoon this year and that way, next season it would be very difficult for the team to do any worse under his watch.

Laurie at this point is a stop gap measure. I'd be tempted to move Doueihi there. Doueihi can do everything he does at 6 at fullback but we also get better kick returns and someone who is safer under the high ball.

Stef can play. He has just had a bad run with injuries.

Prior to injury he was quote weak, imo.
Living off potential, at the moment.

He's not an issue though.
Hopefully he can recapture form in 2023.

Laurie though.....
I feel like he just doesn't have it.
Reserve grader.

He looks like a guy who will have a couple of good games but he isn't going to be a career first grader.
Looks like the type of player you watch in a local game and he carves it up and everyone claims, "he could've gone pro, but he didn't wanna." Or some other garbage excuse.

I think he's a likeable guy and he does a few things right but overall he's another dude who disappears to England and you turn the TV on one day and go, "aw yeah... I remember him."

Jake Mamo types.

We might as well have held onto Corey Thompson. Same body type, similar skill but more heart.

I rate Laurie and Utoikamanu they are still rookies. God help the rest of the juniors if we cast them off that quickly. Clearly they are not the finished product. Nofa is a solid winger we will agree to disagree.

Agree - both have been thrown in the deep end. I'll be filthy if either of them are written off but nothing will surprise me.
