Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

7 Players with about 150 games experience amongst them....
WILL.NOT. WORK
You're going to have to drop 2 kids to get 2 old heads in to bring them through....

We've been there - We're still here....
No experience = No dice....

No one teaches themselves to be an NRL superstar.
No one.
That's why I'm ok with Andrew Fifita coming in for a season and John Bateman or Curtis Sironen coming in for 2 years for that experience for these guys (plus Papaali can help mentor even at his age).

Just been Looking on yutube caught a look at a guy called Luke Yates playing at Huddersfield, Looks pretty good, and Mitchell Pearce with the Dragons, he is still going pretty good.

No one teaches themselves to be an NRL superstar.

Maybe but no amount of teaching will cover for a lack of talent. Talent which includes hard work and smarts is like 90% or significantly more of what it takes to be become a superstar.

Might need a new fullback....

From backflips on the scooter , to wheelies on a dirk bike.... on the beach.....

It's only a matter of time before Laurie injures himself, with all this extreme sports action.

Haha, not me....

Just don't see how we have 7 more to lose.
Cupboard is bare.
Seyfarth.... (Largely ineffective)
Twal.... (Poor mans Ofa - Can't see a spot for both in the 17 next year)
Simpkin / Rua - I see Sheens making way for the Matts kid he hasn't stopped talking about sooner rather than later... Api is about the best going, Brown covers a few positions - I can see one of them boys making way.
Tuki Simpkins - No explanation needed.
Peachey - As Above
Brooks - Hastings - Doueihi... I'd be shocked to land all 3 on extensions. I'd consider them all 50/50 to stay on at best. (For different reasons)

I hope they don't pad the roster with Nsw cup players that were tried in 1st grade this year and failed . They were lightweight and got run over by the opposing packs . Lets not forget the 31 tries conceded in just the last 4 games
The only exception possibly is Pole and even he is not a heavyweight. Also don't include players with no game smarts like finding ways to lose games at the death . Regarding those who are getting raps about their performance in the lower grades remember 1st grade is a big jump . So do players like Tumeth and O'Kane cut it ? I don't know I hope so .
I would prefer to see a roster made up of only players who will do well at NRL level if that comes to 20 so be it at least we will see our shortfall and what must be done in next few months
Pointless putting players in the roster who are not and never will be Nrl quality footballers

Talent - Smarts and Hard Work are 3 totally different things...
All can exist singularly in an individual, Only talent is natural....
Smarts and hard work, take work (or are taught)

Don't know if you watched much of our footy over the year...
But there weren't many real "hard workers"
- And when our more experienced players weren't available -
We were worse again (like that's possible)
We've lost a good deal of experience, And we were light on already.

We've got some experience coming - Provided it turns up....
Neither of them are considered Leaders.

Have you watched the Wests Tigers since 2012?
How much more evidence do you need, That bringing in all these "Talented kids" And not providing them with the right leadership in the squad isn't going to work.... We've just
lived 3 cycles of it.
We need blokes that will work with them, Raise the standard and hold them accountable.
- Not coaches... Blokes In the fkn trenches!!

We don't do it, We'll be talking about the same shit in 5 years..
Watching all these hot kids playing for comps at other clubs.
