As much as I think he’s not the answer, if Hastings is 13, we need someone to play 7 in 2023.

I’m hoping we get Moses for 2024, let Brooks play out the year even if he’s only used for depth and go to Newcastle in 2024. No one is going to buy out his full contract so it’s not worth it.

If we still had Madden or Hastings will play 7 I’d have a different opinion on this.

if brooks leaves in 2023 we play hastings at #7 and matamua or offa at #13. hastings is a better halfback than brooks by enough to offset any loss at #13.

I agree with this. Brooks can even play off the bench as a utility. Also can cover injuries. The problems lies more with our lazy sub standard forwards which is being addressed.
