Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I don't begrudge Doueihi for trying to get as money as possible during his career. He has a contract for the next twelve months - there is no need for him to sign something this far in advance just because of the media. Is he worth 900k? Absolutely not. But a 24 year old deciding to negotiating on his own behalf for the first time adopting a somewhat dumb/naive negotiating tactic is hardly a reason for the fans to go cold on him. If it's the same story in 6/9 months and there is a huge media storm over it - different story. TBH - he is very young, seems like a good learning experience. Personally, for 600/700k I hope he signs, fixes the bad bits of the game and is our club captain, just as I thought 2/3 months ago.

Props for 2023.

With Klemmer on board shortly, second year for Pole and the return from injuries of Uto, Twal and Blore and letting powder puff Musgrove depart I believe WT engine room is looking much better.

Klemmer, Ofanhengaue and Twal in their mid 20's are coming to the prime of their careers as a props and some young bulls leading the next generation. Exciting stuff

Klemmer (age 27)
Ofanhengaue (age 27)
Utoikamanu (age 22)
Pole (age 20)
Twal (age 26)
Blore (some Forum members suggest he could be used as a prop/lock) (age 22)

Faino (part of Top 30) (age 21)
T Simpkins (part of top 30) (age 21)

The top 6 players barring injury should all be part of the 17.

Would you have any of them at starting lock? Could Blore, Papps or Bateman play the middle role?

FACT;- Hastings is gone !--get over it. FACT;- Brooks is playing in the halves in 2023. --love it or leave it- suck rocks. FACT;- AD will not get $900,000 or an extended contract. FACT; - there are few if any halves on the market better then Brooks at this time. Fact ;- Sheens will not keep anyone that does not benefit the club, including Brooks, Fact;- this is a good time for the Tigers, sensible signings, money in the cap, juniors coming through, and big money from off contract players in 2024. Enjoy while you can.
True.

But the frustrating bit is 2023 is almost a write-off.

What's wrong with the reception POM gets here?

And your "exclusive and detailed" scoops on the other forum include Nanai interest and Perham signing with us which none eventuated. The Hastings one did and I'll give you that. 1/3 strike rate isn't something to be advertising and to "keep up" with
Tigers were/are chasing Nanai hard and placed a big offer (confirmed later by the Pom) so....keep up,,,mathematically 2/3.

I was also 3 weeks ahead of the media and Pom with Sheens. 3/4. So 75% of my information has proven to be true, the rest was also true but changed. Thank you for proving my bona fides...but What is it to you?

As I said a few days ago, Moses will go to a very strong roster. He is not into rebuilds. Also Gus has had a man crush on Moses since he first hit grade.
As for the dogs being cap compliant, well is it a issue, the NRL don’t seem to care
in 24 the dogs have like 4 rostered players from memory
