I don't see Farnworth being a good fullback. Would have both our current options ahead of him. Wouldn't like him in the centres here but.

He is a cracking centre, but I would play him at FB to get him here. He is only young and is already impressive. I think it would be worth the gamble to get him here.

Well Plan B has to be an established NRL player. Don't see many, if any, of those around.

Newcastle are having a serious crack at signing Lachie Miller (from the Sharks) to play fullback for them .. which means they are fair dinkum of moving Kalyn Ponga to 5/8 to partner Jackson Hastings in the halves.

If Miller does join .. that means that young British fullback Bailey Hodgson (Josh Hodgson's nephew) misses out .. and so will that superstar Tyson Gamble .. awww 🤣

I hope we had a look at getting Miller .. ??

They will get their chance
Can’t see Kp and Hastings staying injury free all year
Not sold on miller yet as a full time fullback. His credentials atm are no different to Laurie when we signed him

I didn’t think the Sharks needed to release him. Good on them as he wouldn’t have seen any NRL games unless injuries struck. Much better for Miller at the Knights.

I don't see why we would've considered Miller. we have Laurie and Staines on our books with Bula coming through. one of those three will make the spot their own in the next few years. centres and halves is our biggest issue at this point.

No one will or can deny that he's had a good coaching career. He's won 4 premierships, he's given us our very few tastes of finals footy. That all being said he still only took us to the finals 3 times in ten seasons and there was a shedload of downs for the few ups that we had.

Proof will be in the pudding the next two seasons. Admittedly, he's identified that he need some hard and reliable forward leaders for the young fellas and has accordingly recruited quality where we need it in Klemmer and Bateman.

We've had ten years of non performance since his last stint here so fans are naturally cautious in getting their hopes up. I don't think any fan genuinely wants him to fail, they're just not getting caught up in it yet. I want him to succeed, if he succeeds so does the club, I don't think any fan will argue that.

Well said, wish them all the best and will be cheering, but can't help not trusting them

High Ball movement footy, lots of hands and bodies lends itself to stupidly dropping the ball.... Particularly in the early days....
That'll test the defence, the one we're not working on

If you remind him after a loss with lots of errors he'll say "none of those dropped balls were stupid". The old goat is never wrong.

As a centre, perhaps, but, again, I don't think he's that amazing, certainly not the way he's talked up on here. However, he's a hard runner, relatively quick and I like the vigour and enthusiasm he plays with.

He's better than any centre we have. He's consistent, strong and can defend and attack. Plus he's only 22. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

The forward pack looks good, even the State Cup pack looks good. WTs look to be focusing heavily on the backs. Any top tier back should be approached. Farnworth is one of the top centres (don’t know how he would go at FB) But he is quality.
