Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Fair enough. We also have the issue of Brooks regularly getting a 3 on 2 and instead of drawing and passing he turns the ball back on the inside into traffic and killing it
I don't support any of our halves mate ...lets talk about the possible upgrades instead of the same humdrum Brooks v AD v Madden v Laurie v Hastings v whoever

Could be just a fitness thing.
I think something lost with comments on Matamua's 2 games last year was the circumstances in which he debuted.
- He had Kimmorely as his coach with not much of a game plan at all
- A club getting belted from pillar to post in the media (rightly so)
- No senior players to look after him
- We had won 3 games up until round 18 when he debuted
- Our 8-13 consisted of Ofa/Brown/Musgrove/Garner/Tuilagi/Hastings

Keen to see this kid rip in under the right circumstances this year!

Yeh needs a big off season. Doesn't look far off.

Is this more imagined 3 or 2s like in the first 15mins of the 2021 Dogs game you claimed? Didnt stop foxsports from recording Brooks 23 try assists to Doueihi's 16 that year (i am aware NRL.com recorded them differently 16 to 17)
In 2021 he led the club in try assists despite missing the end of the season with his ACL injury. His non passing is a myth

He passes. Doesn't take the right option now and then. Example he threw a few cut out passes which looked great but went to a winger who was already marked.

Still needs work.

hes left to right cut out is one of the best in the comp. just doesnt seem to know when to not use it.

Tony you’re kidding yourself if you expect Tigers fans to be positive until we see results on the park. It’s one failure after another under Pascoe. Best thing he’s done is appoint sheens but let’s not go the early crow.
Don’t agree, think pascoes the tigers scapegoat then brooks then Nofa.
Without Pascoe we have no money no COE, no Klemmer, no paps, etc, etc.
The club was well broken before he arrived eg. Terry lamb, Wayne Pearce, etc, etc. spending the 10 million the NRL gave us in the first few seasons on crap players.
Although I agree Pascoe hasn’t got everything right, he’s certainly put us in a much better position then any other before him. Ease off and have z as real look over the last 22 years as a merged entity…

Nope.
Just think you need to wake up and realise people have different opinions to you.
Oh yeah, nah… yeah ya did.
If you read unbiasedly you’ll find my issue isn’t with peoples different opinions at all. Just (and specifically) their accountability to them.
Again, if you don’t like your reflection….

Hey hey hey, calm down Alltheway, your being far too logical… are you trying to start something?

His bomb is also one of the best in the game. His running game close to the line can be really really good.

You make a good point here though. Doueihi is a bit of a forger atm because he just doesn't have his game together. He is like an undeveloped player.

Maybe this will be his year. I know that if the forwards get rolling and he starts running at the opposition back pedaling he will make plenty of busts.

There’s plenty of businessman in the world who could do a better job than he’s done. He’s been an epic failure.

Wow, it got pretty salty on here this arvo.
I just wanna point out that we all go for the Mighty Tigers and although some of us, on some days, get a little opinionated, we are on a forum. I come here for that very reason, different opinions and views.
Some I don’t like some I do. Evan some of my favourite posters on the forum have different opinions on topics that I do not agree with, so what.
Anyway, go the Mighty Tigers!!!

Okay okay, accountabilities a dirty word on here. My bad.

He has a good bomb but it's never directed. Look at Cleary's bombs to Waqa Blake last year. Right to his side every time. Douhie just kicks it hard with no thought to accuracy or tactics. Don't get me wrong it's better than Brooks over and end kick but not good enough to in finals.

I resent that. I'm very opinionated

agree with all this except his bomb. He has shown no ability to control it and takes an eternity to execute it. I can see him improving his control with practice but not how long he takes to kick it.

No it’s not and that’s not what I said.
Was certainly not have a dig at you or ol’ mate, didn’t really agree with him, but I can see what he’s saying, I think.
Just that you all in that conversation seemed to be ripping into each other. Sheens has been and I reckon still is a quality coach, but even the best may get things wrong sometimes. Nobody’s perfect. This year I have a good feeling we will do well, haven’t had that for a while. Since that start of the year under Cleary before injuries and it all fell away.
Anyway go the Mighty Tigers!!!

If Papali’i has just made a half break and gets a quick PTB he’ll have more time to execute it. That’s the difference good forwards make.
