Rd 3. What's acceptable?

For me the win matters more than the performance, even though the Sunday game would have still infuriated me if we jagged a win, it wouldn't have impacted our season. Now if we play really well and lose in GP, it leaves us 0-3.

Let's pretend it's just cohesion and we improve later in the year. Starting 0-3 means we're out off contention for the 8 imo.

Is anything other than a win acceptable?

We pay them too well to fail. It attracts a type and it's so ingrained I have no idea how we break the cycle under the current system. Maguire tried, Cleary bailed, and the supporter base keep backing the coach until he fails and expects the next one to make a difference.
The problem lies with the squad and the lack of accountability to each other. They go to other teams with those who want to win playing next to them, and there is no way they get away with half arsed performances and stay in FG.
Until we get some leadership on the field and some ownership within the playing group same old crap.

For mine, I'd like to see start seeing some good combinations.

The last few weeks we've looked like a bunch of guys who aren't yet used to playing together.

A win would be nice, but realistically going from 4 wins and the wooden spoon in 2022 to a top 8 team in 2023 is a massive ask.

What do you think of our "new " captain ? Could he be part of the problem, he always looks most disiinterested at the press conferences after the matches- and he also has to live down what he said before he came to the Wests Tigers, that should'nt be easy, because it can't be taken back

I think we'll win so as long as they don't pick a shoddy bench
This is the first time this season we don’t run out favourites, Hagipantelis has stopped standing up for the players after the last performance.
Brooks did something I’ve not seen him do for a long time, but couldn’t pick up a runner and after running out of options and giving the ball to Nofa to do his dog chasing tail routine before throwing the ball away? I’m looking forward to round 20, when Hastings motivates them.

Pretty much agree with everyone. Win or bust.

The bit I'm not sure about, and my follow up question...will a win do anything to actually make you feel better about the club?

If we absolutely flog them, I think I'd feel a bit better. A scrappy win and I'll poetically still have the shits haha

We weren't going to make the 8 regardless.

0-3? Seen our draw? We will be 0-7 I'd imagine. If we can't score against a 12 man ordinary side like the Knights at home then Belmore will be tough as.

I want to see hard running and and anger I .defence and attack. Hot hard and run hard then be patient InThe 20. If I see sideways running again Il turn it off.

Must win game, the following couple of months will be rough with very little success to be had.
