Say's who ! Storm had Smith, Cheese,Cronk,Paps,and a world class set of forwards and backs. Manly DCE had Foran , tommy and a great pack, Panthers had Cleary, LUI, Edwards etc the list is endless. None of the top 8 sides rely on just the 1/2 , that is fantasy, They all have good 5/8's , great 9's, great fullbacks and great forwards. None of these sides rely on the halfback to solely lead them, the 1/2 has a role to play amongst the rest. Newcastle lost their playmaker in Ponga, and others and still shit on the Tigers.If the side doesn't perform the half has no chance to look good.

Don't worry about fullback, that's Bula's. 6 and 7 are the problem. Wakeham and Smith can't be any worse. Could have got O'Sullivan for 500k. Trindall probably less. There's KOE guys around better than Brooks and Douehei.

I would be happy for the club to try for RTS or William Kennedy as they are both guns. RTS preferable as he can develop Bula if he is all what we have been told.

No doubt the team as a whole has flaws. Brooks and Douhi are major ones. All those halves you mention show great leadership qualities and the ability to perform under pressure generally. Something Brooks has never done in 10 years. His time is up, he would kick on at another team maybe good luck to him, but he is doing nothing at the Tigers and hasn't in his 10 years. It's time for us to start looking towards a new halves pairing for the future.

Wouldn't the most obvious thing to do, is give Stains a couple of full games to see how he goes, before tying to pull monkeys out of the hat ? Did anyone expect to hit the ground running, with a hooker that looks like he's been on the piss since xmas.. A 5/8 that can't tackle, a fb who is not a fullback, a backline lacking speed and ability. A side that can't work out who is a lock or front rower. A pommie whose last played his best football years ago, and is yet to start. Sheens said 2025, that is opimistic.
 
We need to sign Moses & Tuivasa-Scheck shift Brooks to five eighth & Doueihi to centre & that instantly makes us a top 8 team.
Imagine this backline.

That would gives us an organising halfback a running five eighth two tall fast athletic wingers two very tall & skilful centres & an awesome fullback Tigers give them more we need them.

Boring ! You dont get it ! For 10 years the side has been sliding,, For the last 5 shocking. Lot's of sheep follow the Brooks target, but superman as a half would not have looked better. Is he a great half-no! Is he a decent half - maybe. That all depends on the team around him, and i have not seen a decent team in years.

Not picking but many times brooks has had chances to win alot of close games or put us in a position to win those games .10 yrs is a long time

I say don't renew him let him go and kick on else where, we just need an organiser with a kicking game. We can build off that. Last week he was caught with the ball on the second last tackle 4 times for a halfback that is diabolical.

Do you know for years now he has been buying up all the buildings around East league's club and is giving it all to East when he dies so they can be a power house for years to come
